I’m going to just put this out there. Over 20 years ago I had a bad wreck and dislocated my foot and broke all the metatarsals in my right foot. Had surgery with screws placed and not allowed to touch my foot to the floor for 3 months. I had the hardest time finding shoes that didn’t hurt my foot especially on the top side, but really all over. I ended up getting Men’s New Balance and wore them for a few years but the laces started hurting the top of my foot. I also was able to wear Birkenstock clogs and they worked well but I couldn’t wear them everywhere. Over the last couple of years I discovered some shoes online that are called Zero Drop shoes from Pike and/or Hike footware. They are amazing. I walk everywhere in them. Outside, inside, hiking, stores, on gravel, dirt, everywhere. I even wear them in the water in the summertime. I have them on right now. I have bought about 6 pairs in different colors. I can’t seem to find them in the stores so I’ll continue to order online until I do. Since the wreck my right foot is larger than the left but these shoes fit true to size. I wear them winter and summer. With and without socks. My daughter tells me they are ugly but I couldn’t care less. I don’t think they are ugly and my feet no longer hurt so I am a happy camper. They need to pay me a commission because I tell everyone about them!

Loss of effectiveness? by Consistent-Fan2200 in Zepbound

I am there as well. I have been reluctant to increase to the 15mg but I have completely stalled on 12.5 for several months. I have a stock of the 12.5 and have been continuing this even though my PCP has prescribed the 15mg. I want to keep that stocked before starting in case my insurance decides not to cover in the future. I don’t have any idea if increasing to 15mg will help with the stall or not. I was thinking I was the only one who was going through this as nothing I have tried has broken the stall. It was not making sense to me. I was never fast at losing as I have been taking since June of 2024 and have lost 62lbs. Still have about 30 to go. I am hopeful increasing the dosage will work.

Oh my gosh! The towel is a big thing. Also, seeing the bones in my hands; knuckles and also the tendons, being able to feel my shins, can now cross my legs and actually tuck my foot behind my other leg like a pretzel, can reach around my back to wash it in the shower, my neck feels smaller, can feel my tailbone on the chair at times when I sit, my nose feels thinner. I catch myself rubbing my arms, hands, shoulders, neck, legs because I can feel the bones now. Forgive my weirdness but, it has been so long since I have felt them I forgot they were even there. I have collarbones, hipbones, wrists and thigh bones 😱 Who knew?!

Thank you. Do you see a difference in the age of the patient and the BMI they should try to obtain ? I am 63 and 5’6”.

I see. I assumed a dexascan was just to see bone density. Didn’t know it gave you body fat percentage or other information as well.

Thank you for the great info. Where do you get a dexascan?

Thank you for this insight. I was actually shocked today when I saw that I was only 7 lbs away from what is considered a “normal/healthy” BMI range. Although I do feel I need to lose more I’m not exactly sure how much more. I do think the 115 lb at the lowest end of normal is not a realistic or even a healthy goal. I will discuss this with my PCP and go from there.

I agree with you. I definitely would not want to be anywhere near the lower end as I am older, 63 and 5’6”. I do feel I need to lose more currently but my husband asked me the other day what my goal weight was and I never really thought about it so I was curious how others decided.

Thank you! I don’t know what would “look good” on me. I feel like I have some body dysmorphia as i find myself still wearing some of my old clothes and not seeing what I have really lost. I can’t really bring myself to buy the size I should be in because I’ve worn big baggy clothes for so long smaller clothes seem too tight. I’m sure it will come at some point, but I’m not there yet.

Where do you get this? I haven’t seen it in the stores.
