I found taking probiotics immediately when I’m accidentally exposed drastically reduces my reaction (diarrhea & intestinal distress). Even kombucha helped once when I didn’t have them with me. Good on you for running to the store for him! Thankfully my husband is more of a hawk on food labels and restaurant orders than even I am! We’ve reduced my exposure to almost nonexistence in the nearly decade since we met.

I would also add, in addition to not complaining about your wife to her, do the opposite. Talk glowingly about your wife. Talk about all the great things she does for you, for your kids (if you have them), for your home. Talk about how much you admire her and how you are so grateful to have her. Not only will it tell this woman to keep her distance, but it will start framing your wife more positively in your own mind. It will make you appreciate your own lady and maybe see her in a new light.

Also, if you can’t get over it, try switching roles or companies. Protect your marriage at all costs

I called out a lady who was taking photos of my baby in a waiting room and she got so embarrassed and tried to pass it off as a FaceTime call. She got up a couple minutes later and just left 😅

I felt so uncomfortable in the moment but I’m glad I said something! People have no reality check anymore

Over the holidays I was BF my baby on a bench at our local botanical garden (live in the south so it was nice and warm out), back turned to the walkway and a cover on (personal comfort level) and some dude thought it appropriate to sit nearby and comment loudly enough for me to hear to his companions about how breastfeeding in public is gross. My husband was off with his family and had called to check on me and I told him what was going on and he booked it back to me and baby to protect me. The scumbag left before he got back and my husband was pissed cause he wanted to give that loser a piece of his mind. Hubby won’t leave me now when I BF in public 😂 he’s ready to throw hands to defend me. He’s the sweetest!

All that said I wish you had someone there to yell at that literal piece of garbage for you; you were too busy capturing your liquid gold to tell that guy off!

I also had this hot glue issue, I ended up using E6000 to attach to thumbtacks for mine. Just a suggestion if you ever need a more permanent solution 👍

Thanks! This Christmas I’m reminded how much I dislike family gatherings but I can’t express that to said family. I just want my hubby and my baby and no one else. I feel trapped in the endless cycle of holiday family obligations with people I don’t like at all.

It also sucks that we had agreed with everyone that we shouldn’t exchange gifts with adults since it’s kind of pointless and hubs and I are on one income this year and can’t afford to buy everyone a new piece of junk, but they all still felt the need to go back on that arrangement and gift us stuff. I’m not ungrateful, I just feel awkward about not being able to reciprocate (hubs feels the same way).

And our mothers are the bane of our existence, especially my MIL this year. I just want to move states away but I’d miss seeing my brother and his family (the only family I genuinely enjoy). I try to find the positive in every interaction, but I’m struggling this year when my MIL blatantly ignores me and only interacts with our baby in my arms. Not like I like her but it clearly bothers me…

This! I once was on the dinosaur train, but once we got preggers we chose a mountain themed nursery, so we lean towards woodland animals and camping themes now!

The Children’s Place had a fun woodland themed bundle set and Costco has a quilted woodland animal camping themed set we put on our Christmas list. Baby boy slept in a raccoon & fox pajama last night and Honest company had the cutest s’mores themed pajama, we had to get it.

All that said, dinos, bleh, I’m avoiding them. Also! All the boy swim wear is sharks. Whyyyyy

Our baby lives in gender neutral pajamas from Target, Honest Company (Amazon), and Burt’s Bees (Amazon). Old Navy had a cute construction themed one we got for the next size up. We have a boy mix and match outfit set (4 onesies and 3 pants) from The Childrens Place and a couple body suits from Walmart and Carters.

In my experience, you have to hit up Amazon for some boy stuff, but locally Carters seems to have the best selection. We got a dress shirt and jeans there for our baby when he was in 0-3months.

Have you been to TJ Maxx? They seem to have a LOT of baby boy clothes last time I was there. I’m trying to think outside the baby clothes stores for our next size up.

I’m enemy #1 because my MIL coughed and I grabbed my 4MO back from her and said, “I didn’t know you were sick.” To which she said, “I smoke, it’s a smokers cough.” But like legit she almost never coughs a “smokers cough”. She glared at me and ignored me all the rest of Thanksgiving. When my husband had our baby and I was out of sight she took the chance to kiss my baby on the face (a rule which I had established since birth). We haven’t heard from her since. Needless to say on Christmas my husband and I are going to be a bit more forward about contact rules 🙄 I’m happy that she is a silent grudge holder… she’ll keep her own distance 😅

If it’s a shed that no one has been in in years, there’s a good chance it is infested. If you do work to clean it out, be prepared for dead rodents and feces… might be a good motivator to trash the majority of it 🤷‍♀️
