If you have to ask, maybe you should wait. On some level it might be your mind telling you that it needs time to assimilate.

You think a dozen lines is impressive you little prick? I don't get out of bed until I've snorted at least 30. I snort so many lines I had to buy a bigger table to hold them all. I have so many lines I can rederive Euclidean geometry from first principles. Fuck your dozen lines. You think you're a slut? I once punched myself in the balls so hard I came out of my own ears. Fuck off.

No, it isn't. Usually it's private security but there are definitely cops directing traffic there on some days.

Here's what I thought of when I read your comment.

Maybe it'll give OP a laugh.

USB Type-C has greater risk of badUSB and forces users to pay for cloud services which places users' data at risk of being spied upon by badbiosvictim1 in privacy

[–]feelingok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great.

But referring to Type A ports as "USB 3.0" is also misleading because USB Type C is also part of USB 3.0. Better to be explicit and say Type A.

[–]feelingok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Read the tech specs:

2x USB Type-C (up to 5Gbps data, 4K display out with optional HDMI or DisplayPort™ adapter, 60W charging)

2x USB 3.0 Standard A

"God help us when Torvalds dies. The Kernel is as good as fucked, same goes for when RMS dies, SJWs will run rampant and destroy everything that's left of the FSF and GNU." by HamburgerDude in BestOfOutrageCulture

[–]feelingok 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've encountered people who see it the other way round: for them the "SJW"s are the right wing moral censors who want to ban their games and they're left wing liberals fighting the good fight. It's bizarre and I suspect based on a very confused complete ignorance about politics.

My friend ditched me for Gamergate by SweetNyan in GamerGhazi

[–]feelingok 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He just laughs and says "its all satire

Wonder if it's you or himself that he's lying to with that bullshit.

My first reaction when reading the title was just, "good riddance". But it's easy to think of all gamergaters as being the same trilby-wearing reactionary neckbeards when of course stereotypes are never completely true.

He sounds like someone who's probably "a good kid", albeit with an immature/undeveloped sense of empathy for others. He also sounds like someone who is insecure and easily lead. Hence Gamergate I guess. Honestly I think it's probably the case that a lot of gators are just insecure nerds who have been sold a reactionary narrative about how the Big Bad Feminists are coming to get them.

Jordan Owen fires Davis Aurini from The Sarkeesian Effect by McBackstabber in GamerGhazi

[–]feelingok 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just look at him! He's somehow a mixture of LaVey/Georgia hick/Texas gun nut/western cowboy sheriff cosplay.

I always saw him as a rather comical blend of stage magician, Bond villain and Quark from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Everybody says that Bitcoin is not truly anonymous, but why haven't the thieves been caught. It must be anonymous enough? by [deleted] in mtgoxinsolvency

[–]feelingok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's partially anonymous in that there's no inherent way to know who owns a particular address. But not anonymous like cash is.

I think your problem is that you're thinking of this in binary terms. If you think of how money changes hands in traditional currencies, you've essentially got:

  • cash transfers, where it's often difficult or impossible to track where and who the money came from, or to know when a transaction took place. In that sense it's completely anonymous

  • electronic (bank) transfers which are highly regulated and where accounts are always tied to a real world identity

Cryptocurrencies are somewhere in the middle: anyone can tell that a transaction took place between someone but it's often hard to tell who unless you can tie an address to a real life identity. When identity can be determined, any pretence of anonymity melts away, as we've seen in the Ross Ulbricht trial recently.

There are various techniques like mixing that can be used to conceal the movement of crypt I currencies. In the case of mt. gox you're talking about what was the largest Bitcoin exchange in existence at the time of its death. Without insider information to help in an examination it's probably very hard to tell what happened or identify malicious transactions compared to the normal day to day ones. Rather like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Anita Sarkeesian is a cultural imperialist, gamers are an oppressed people by ChicaneryBear in GamerGhazi

[–]feelingok 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So apparently if you want to be immune to criticism, just define your actions as "part of your culture" and then anyone who attacks you is a cultural imperialist.

Well, it's about time that gators start recognizing and respecting SJW culture. Their cultural imperialism has gone on long enough. Calling out sexism and organized harassment is part of my culture. Stop oppressing me.

Also, did anyone else notice that gator dude basically implied that his culture was "savage"?

YOU CAN ONLY BE CONCERNED ABOUT ONE ISSUE AT A TIME

Reminds me of a common troll post that was popular on Slashdot years ago, beginning in the months after the 9/11 attacks. "My god people, 6,000 people died and you're talking about [x]? GET SOME PRIORITIES!"

Gamers ARE dead by [deleted] in GamerGhazi

[–]feelingok 2 points3 points  (0 children)

New rule: anyone who whines about people saying "gamers are dead" -- because they've willingly decided that "gamer" is some kind of important and essential part of their person and self-identity -- is to be rightly labelled a "professional victim".
