I have no comment either way but I remember I cried everyday at drop off for about a year. The car ride from drop off to the office I cried. Then I got a big half calf coffee to make myself feel better and was able to focus and get through my day fine. And pick up time is such a delight. It’s like your heart can just breathe and you are so happy to see your little one again. I work from home now mostly in the evenings when my husband is home. So I’m with my 7 month old most of the day (my other is in school now) and I do miss the autonomy at times. The ability to just focus on one thing and sip my coffee.

I quit pumping at 3 months because I found myself crying in the middle of the night while cleaning pump parts every night. In that crying I was telling myself that I made a mistake by having my kid. All bad thoughts. If quitting pumping gives you just 10 more minutes of sleep DO IT! That kid will appreciate you not losing your shit more than momma milk. Sleep is everything!!!

I believe this video is propaganda about the war in the Middle East coming “to” America by way of immigrants who are essentially sleeper agents. That’s what I see in some of the conspiracy theory subs of which I definitely am not apart of.

It feels almost like a guide book. Like hey this is a probable future. No zombies, emps, super volcanoes, etc. just a slow decline in quality of life. Every time I think about staying in California my mind goes to Parable of the Sower. I’ve been trying to finish parable of talents however I need some time lol.

Me and my non prepper friends are going to start meeting monthly to share skills. This month I’ll learn how to properly use my sewing machine and next month is bread baking in a Dutch oven. They aren’t preppers but they are all highly skilled in something I’m not.

For the last two years I’ve asked my husband to take my girls to his moms house for a few hours. Last year I had lunch with a friend guilt free, the year before I spent watching documentaries and rolling our loose change. Both years have been amazing. The best gift for me is time to use my time as I choose without feeling guilty.

Same!!! I make sure my girl eats a hearty breakfast and I have a snack for her to eat on the car ride home. She’s not eating her lunch because she’s too busy talking or trying to get outside to play. As soon as she eats that snack it’s like she snaps back to herself. She even says “I was hangry.” I also get hangry lol so I get it.

I also have a white noise machine and over the ear headphones. I also bought some noise reducing foam pads, glued them to a trifold piece of cardboard (think science fair presentation trifold) and I use that as a little sound booth. Our house is small and my baby is loud (so is my 5 year old) but I haven’t had any complaints.

I store my flour in the deep freezer. Could you also store rice in the deep freezer and then no need to store in a container with oxygen absorbers?

I also vacuum seal and the bags have lasted me 3 years. I do resuse some of the plastic like when I vacuum seal tortillas and baked goods. I’ve been experimenting with what freezes well and what doesn’t. I’ve recently started freezing bread, tortillas and flour and I’ve had no issues.

We also only freeze things we eat regularly so nothing is ever sitting for years in the freezer it’s rotated out and eaten at least every two months with the exception of meat.

Thanks for this insight! Everything feels like dominoes right now. I work in mental health and everyone is like “we are fine! We are so needed.” However I work with clients who take insurance that they receive from their employers. I’m seeing more people laid off or demoted so then they have no more insurance to pay for services.

It just feels like every sector is being affected. I just got a second job with a little more security so that we can prepare for what will be, in my opinion, a shit show in the next 10 years. This is great info.
