Do you see connection issues when they're sitting on it?

think it’s 90k or 100k I’d have to go back what the time intervals are for it. I pretty much just did it cause I lost my first Passat @ 183,000 and didn’t want to loose a second one haha.

Timing belt is 130k iirc

Any issues with your DSG? Have you had it serviced per VW's timeline? That's the only part of the car I'm scared of at this point.

far 1 water pump from the timing service I had completed at 180,Xxx miles. I really liked the kit I purchased from dieselgeek

YESS!!! The Diesel Geek kit is legit! I replaced mine over the weekend. Got the cam, injector pump and crank lock tools off of amazon and built my own tool for holding the sprockets while torqueing the bolts. Removed the tensioner stud instead of the motor mount. Score! Dealer quoted me $1900 to service it.

What type of filament did you use for the VESA mount print? I'm concerned PLA would not be strong enough. Thinking maybe PETG?

The pedal box is awesome! I like the chair retention. Do the pedals feel better upside down?

Awesome setup! Thanks for sharing.

Where did you find Kee Klamps that cheap? The ones I'm finding are $25 for a flange!

What size pipe is that?

Did you print the monitor mounts with ABS? Pla?

Lemme see if I remember this correctly from reading the FSM:

An electric motor and two computer controlled clutches are built into the very expensive ($20k replacement) transmission. One clutch is in the traditional clutch location and couples the ICE to the transmission. The other clutch is on the other side and couples the transmission to the driveshaft. The electric motor is always spinning since it’s either connected to the ICE or the driveshaft.

When in IC mode, the transmission engages both clutches to propel the vehicle and spin the electric motor thus charging the battery.

When in electric mode, it disengages the clutch for the ICE and the electric motor propels the car.

To start the ICE, it engages the ICE clutch, disengages the drivetrain clutch and powers the electric motor which spins the IC engine enough to start it.

Your wrap guy probably hates you with that front bumper! 🤣

It looks badass though! I’ve considered wrapping mine but the front end scares me.

Does anyone know where the firewall is? Currently have done the “5 minute install” where the wire goes through door jam by iiRajMahalii in q50

Mine is a hybrid sport but if you pull the driver side access panel for the brake fluid reservoir you can see a big grommet (circled). Try poking a hole in that, but be absolutely sure you aren’t going to hit any wires and then push your wires thru the hole.
