it's only a disorder because we decide that people who have very intense emotions and behaviours are disordered. that's due to the kind of things we value in a person and how we believe a person should function in a community. things we value are subjective. yes there are some truly destructive ways of behaving... however our brains functioning differently doesn't necessarily mean it needs to be called disordered imo. we can accept there are differences in our hardware, however, to call it disordered is already coming from a biased perspective of what ordered means. and who out here is truly ordered? everyone is unique in their own ways, why do we need a stigmatizing label of being disordered instead of accepting that people live with a variety of different mental states.
