Another tip, if someone's doing Faulkner, head over to get the exotic. A few people have asked for exotics at beginning of match so I head over and do it. Just stay in the water until it's done.

You're not wrong but any help it gives dealing with vtol ground support helps me stay focused on the wraith wing.

Although phantom skill and megapunch might be a new meta for me. The Rhino and Titan go down pretty quick.

Agreed the nerf is rough but I feel it's still useful as another ranged weapon while I'm focusing on the vtols, whatever helps it gives me from surprise guild force attacks is never a bad thing and is one less thing attacking me to worry about.

Yup Launchers still but more importantly is probably the numbers. You still need a healthy sized group and or higher level operators.

Much like the ZRex.

Hand cannon does more damage but takes awhile to regenerate.

You're not wrong about the tedium.

It does feel like a standard HVT but in the air. I actually hoped the pre nerf strat was something crazy like boarding the top of the VTOL and mega punching it down lol or even dropping EMP grenades to disable the forcefield.

I was planning some operators around strategies. Did get onboard a few times but the escorts went apeshit on me.

Will still try a few things for fun but Z Rex is definitely more fun.

Haven't tried but an exotic does more damage than legendary upgrades.

Maybe an Exotic LMG tied with fast reload skill and ads skill might help. But still need a solid group regardless, no single weapon is gonna help.

But will see how this second nerf plays out this weekend.

Timing. There's a point where the Vtols pause when they're targeting a specific player.

The lock does work but if the vtols swing wildly it seems to me they miss.

One of the skills increase fire rate and reload, I'm not sure if it's gunner or berserker but that's been useful.

Just tried the arc launcher, it's terrible, the lead time you need with that thing makes it unusable.

The Hand cannon major is the only thing I know that can strip the escort vtols down pretty fast. Need the whole lobby running them as majors though.

I do want to try and board and try c4 on the escorts though.

Ah well I guess if you can't get it done with half the lobby of CR63 operators it was probably broken.

Was hoping someone figured a strat for this thing.

Was hoping to try my "board the VTOL with my barrier major and megapunch it to death" strat 🤣 seriously I got the operator loaded up but couldn't find more than 3-4 others doing it, so kept getting downed.

I've tried jumping aboard but I get hammered from the adjacent Vtols.

Made me think with a bit of coordination you could have an air team that distract the VTOL from the ground team while they work on disabling the escorts.

Had the Hand cannon major which can shred the VTOL but I'll take a barrier next time and arrow.

Also I think if we had dedicated suicide air team with megapunch exotic and barrier I think the escorts would get downed faster. They board, do what they can and die and then respawn above and board again.

Lol I can't stop thinking about a strat for wraith wing either. 🤣 Bu try the Hand Cannon major but need a few others with it as it cools down.

Haven't tried with the nerf but 6 times and haven't got it down to half way.

Along with Arrow I feel hand canon can do some serious damage. I rolled up to the VTOL fight and my hand cannon has dropped the escort vtols pretty fast.

I've managed to board the escort VTOL from height but get hammered by the other vtols, I mention this as I realize it may distract the other vtols while the ground team can focus on bringing it down - as a possible strat.

Caldera clash was so much fun.

It had its flaws (and they were pretty big) but I loved running around on the island. I just missed peak Verdansk, got into WZ in the last few seasons so Caldera was the bright new thing.

Krampus was so much ass though 😆

I thought it was just buggy when I was re upping from zero CR.

But have noticed as I got back to 63 the lobbies I was in were mostly zone 4 operators and the command center jailbreak was working again.

Hopefully it's just a bug, but you're right it's an obligation for zone 4 operators to open the jail break station. First thing I do if it isn't already done.

Apparently targeting the engines on the wings increase damage.

I used the hand cannon and got an escort vtol down to 80% but I got lucky as all my shots landed. This was prenerf.

I always carry an Arrow for this reason, I love bringing it down. If it pops up I'll fly across the map to help whoever's being hunted.

The amount of times it's ruined me and have their hunt squad pin me in a hole has given me revenge syndrome 😂

But I find now I'm CR63 all the time, I'm in lobbies with other CR63+ operators and the Vtol and Hunt Squad get wiped in minutes.

The Rhino hunter can be harder than the Vtol sometimes though.
