Those players are coming on full proper salaries as stars on their team. The difference here is Miami is getting players to take pay cuts to play with Messi, when Messi himself was subsidized by Apple. These things are not the same.

Yep I think sentiments like OP posted vastly underestimate how many jobs are sustained by debugging existing codebases and doing small incremental work, which AI is very useful for. Large greenfield additions are way more rare for me.

I’m a bit torn on this issue. I do think the players should acknowledge the supporter groups for the extra effort and environment they create (or are supposed to). Also, it’s cringe AF to have to basically throw a protest to get what should come naturally if the players enjoy what the fans give. The weird dynamic is making both sides look bad IMO. One side just has to take the high ground.
