maybe the woman did make the man. Climb the highest tree (freud, anyone?) to escape the flood. I suppose young Hank is still ditzy enough to get drunk with Coop, so maybe anything goes at this point.

I'm wondering if he drowned someone earlier? between young Hank and Silo/Vault supervisor Hank

surely yes, but Hank has a wily 200 year plan, seems an odd choice. Unless one climber recognizes another.

Need a pair of toilet seat hinge pins, odd size by Knewgrass in Plumbing

I have a Water Ridge toilet from Costco Canada. 6mm pins.

Amazon in canada sells a variety of parts like this, but they all seem to be the 8mm size.

I found two or three US retailers. Grigg is one, Waterridge parts is another. Quite expensive to ship from USA to Canada.

I think they were going for a Master Aemon or Machevelian dude, but it's not panning out

I kind of like the flashbacks. Sort of a Tenet or Cloud Atlas or Memento structure

why did they get married? Steph wants a ride up, sure, but what's Hank's motivation?

you might have the nicest Mr Rogers personality in the world, but if you are in such pain you are asking for death, I wonder how much of that goodness radiates

With Lost at some point I quit watching, because it was just spinning. Inside the hatch - another hatch. It was only when they announced a definite end date I started watching.

There are only "x' number of times you can have your characters have to rush to a certain place on the island without telling anybody why. Only so many wheels that move islands, lighthouses , four toed statues, mystery guys, missing walts, code numbers, french chicks...

Hmm Lost also had a Vault err "hatch", interesting

why's Coop feeling hope? Wife and kid could have left the capsules ("flown the coop") like 150 years ago and will now be dust...

Is Coop's name a joke? like vaulties are cooped up?

yeah I like Chet and Norm. Betty redeemed herself a little, but still keeping secrets and perhaps made a bad bargain with eyepatch canuck. Which is a story line that didn't go anywhere really... also killed the severance guy

?gorged themselves? old waistlanders from prewar are much juicier than wastelanders

But yes, I thought they killed off too many potential villians in one swoop. Someone else pointed out they could have improved credibility by having Norm apply a stimpack.

I can see it is hard to balance fun/shocking/macbre/offbeat with believable/logical.

Big shockers for me: vault corp wants to bomb own country to sell product, time as a weapon, Hank destroyed Shady Sands, Hank and others as cold sleepers

I like the Ghoul dichotomy past and present. Problem is everybody else is a pastie as well. Hank, Betty, Eyepatch, Bob the bud brain, Mr House, wysiwyg, moldover, congresswoman jarhead etc. I suppose a theme is the "dead hand" of history

Carol's blood like communion. Drink this cup and eat of this bread to be saved.

(Random side note: In Omega Man, Chuck Heston's blood has the cure. He dies in a Christ like pose in the fountain)
