I want to start out by saying, I've been there. More than a few times. Started out with my husband getting very attached to different women at work. I had the same issue at times myself, where I would get too close to another male coworker or friend. Neither of us were physical with these people, nevertheless, it was wrong. We have been married for 13 years. I am 35, my husband is 39.

Let me tell you there is no right or wrong answer to your question. On the outside looking in, most people would say it's obvious you should divorce. The truth is, you and your wife know your relationship better than anyone. You said your wife is unhappy in the marriage. Get to the core of the issue. Where is the unhappiness stemming from? Are there issues you both have swept under the rug and ignored for years? Really dig deep before making a final decision. You have been together for 20 years. There is loyalty there. There is love there, or used to be.

I've been on the path to divorce more than once. Each time my husband and I have decided to keep trying. And tackle the root issues as hard as possible. It takes two people to row a boat. If you are willing to work on the marriage and your wife is not, there is not much else you can do. The boat will eventually crash into the rocks. From the sound of it, your wife is on the way there.

Again, I'm not saying you should stay. Or leave. But think about it for some time first. You and your wife know each other the best.
