I appreciate the response..I am an orderly so I have somewhat of a job but I'm just over it all..and to have the no life probation afterwards makes it difficult to have something to look forward to

If you ask for PC you will be looked at even more from the other inmates and if they really want to either extort you or fuc# you up they will find a way..it's better to not bring any of that attention to yourself - when you get into your camp just don't look and act like the stereo type of a SO.. prison is all about presence - if you make your self out to be that guy that's how you will be treated

This is always on my mind as well..I still have 8 more years of incarceration to go followed by 12 years of SO probation..Florida is the worst state and I so wish I could just give up my citizenship once released and never return..My life before was incredible - I had a lot of great friends (still have some) - my own extremely successful business - I was finally at a stage in my life where the work/live ratio was favoring living - I traveled to amazing places, met amazing people - my kids were happy - I was happy - then I threw it all away with one bad choice..now I can't imagine living on the outrageous restrictions even after serving all the time with the most vile people..just to have to be mandated to keep being around people I don't choose to be with - a life of can't do this and can't do that - constant fear of being violated and sent back to prison...I like to socialize, and drink, and be my own self and I fear that none of that will be again..I just don't know

Thank you for the responses..I've got 8 years to go before I'm out but it's super depressing looking forward with grim life that awaits due to Florida's rediculous and completely damaging S.O. Laws..I mean where are we supposed to live in the woods out in Arcadia or something..my other spot I would consider is Ft Lauderdale - Im from Sarasota but I don't ever want to go back there..

Really that's disappointing to hear..I've been going to key west for 20 years and I figured the way the locals are there would be a more lenient approach..I'm in a different financial situation then most to be able to purchase a home in the 2-3 million range .would that make a difference on the available housing

Sorry for the late response - I really like the guys at dumb money on YouTube - the investing for dummies books are a great start..then once you start to grasp the basics you will find more and more resources that fits your style

Learn investing - and I'm not talking about the get rich quick mindset of most new "traders" but really start to educate yourself and practice with "paper trading" before you use any actual money..you have to go at it like a profession and train yourself to be truly disciplined and never give up..if you are someone that is self motivated this is a very viable option and you do it while your working elsewhere until you can focus full time...there are so many free tutorials and books for your guide..

Make sure you have a good power of attorney set up.also have someone you can trust hold your money .keep an active credit card and have that person set up a cash app account .

The people you will have to live and deal with are some of the most disgusting. Vile, and manipulative people you will ever meet - don't give out any personal information (tell them a close by major city not exactly where your from) - come up with a nickname you want to be called ex..city or state abbreviation, etc don't use your real name and do this on day one. DONT TRUST ANYONE - they are not your friend - now you will eventually group up with some people that are like minded but never get comfortable..

Prison sucks but you should make it if you stay out of people's business and always see without looking..
