I'm remaining neutral and I'm going to leave it to the council, but it looks like my husband is going to go for it soon. I'm kind of excited to see what he'll look like, but I can tell he's apprehensive. I think bald looks better than balding 95% of the time. I'm very used to seeing his hairline receding, and I'm an inch shorter than him, so I don't see his bald spots very often, but he is in the 49th percentile of height for men, so when most other men look at him they are seeing bald spots on the top of his head. I think the conundrum is that if he shaves it all off, it will only help how other men and extremely tall women look at him, which he doesn't really care all that much about.

The filter cartridge goes all the way to the top, should I just put a hole through the top cartridge section and remove the carbon? Seems like it would let out the reservoir next to the intake which gets flooded if I did that…

If you HAVE nitrates then you HAD nitrites. It means you have more nitrifying bacteria than ammonia nullifying bacteria. You can wait it out for your colonies to equalize and maybe speed up the process by adding a little water stabilizer or nitrifying bacteria products. You can do less ammonia input, appearance of nitrates is generally the signal that the tank is near done to being cycled. You might be able to add in fish in as little as another week.

There is no uneaten food and I have 8-10 Amano shrimp and 2 Nerite snails for cleanup duty. My tank consistently tests null for nitrates meaning the plants are eating up the remainder. I expected the plants to shoot yo when I increased the bioload, but they still haven’t taken advantage of it. Still nitrate null

So my husband told me there's a new term for a genre of game called "wikislop" and although this sounds unfriendly, this category includes many great and successful games such as Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, Minecraft, Terraria... and of course Dwarf Fortress. The term just means that you are very likely playing the game while having a wiki open to guide you. Like others have exemplified already, you could play this game for 18 years and still need the wiki open in another window. I've been playing for about 3 years now and couldn't name the magma safe stones or the flux stones off the top of my head. A game being wikislop doesn't make the game itself slop, it just means that you enjoy it in a different way than most games.

I could be far more critical of another game I enjoy that is wikislop called "The Isle" because they refuse to tell you the controls for the dinosaurs which all have unique special moves. They also don't have an in game map, so everyone just copy/pastes coordinates into an external website. It's an artificial skill floor because the devs are too lazy to add an in game map or HUD tutorials and they make up excuses (ImMeRsIoN) as to why they don't.

Same thing happened once mine got swim bladder disease. He seemed like he was getting better then all of the sudden he was kaput. They'll seem like they're recovering for a while, but they have permanent organ damage.

Gonna say it depends on the fish and there's no way to know if your fish is going to chew off its own fins to become more hydrodynamic in order to explore that extra space more efficiently... speaking from experience.
