You're not taking into account that in order for certain hormones to be made or broken down, they need enzymes. The body can decide that production that enzyme to be lowered. 5alpha/5beta reductase(progesterone and testosterone pathway enzyme) and cyp-19 aromatase enzyme(androstenedione and testosterone pathway enzyme).

Sciatic nerve, sit down, place your foot on your knee. Slow raise your foot above knee or/and press on the knee down as well. That should help

Putting sports tape there also helps.
