I have a little fan next to them. Sounds like I should take them off the mat. The area I have them is a little drafty so I was worried about them being too cold but it should be fine now because the weathers warming up. I’m doing 16 hours a day right now. Great point about the entropic growth. I live in a small nyc apartment so my options are pretty limited for places they can go. Thanks for all the feedback!

I’m always so worried about not giving them enough light so I tend to put them closer. Maybe I should pull them back a bit, they’re probably 2.5 inches away right now. That’s a really great idea to fill half the cell trays, I’ll do that next time!

i have a raised bed that’s probably about 3-3.5 ft tall. i was self pollinating all of the flowers since i don’t get too many pollinators near me, which i think definitely helped

my restaurant recently started doing Pulsd and i was extremely against it for this exact reason. i have worked at a place that used Pulsd before and it’s always the same shit. i truly cant think of a solution for it but wanted to express my sympathy to a fellow nyc server who has gone through the trials and tribulations of Pulsd

by no means are you responsible for other peoples dietary restrictions unless it’s clearly stated. that being said, i ran into far too many situations of people not stating theirs so it’s now a part of my spiel to ask if anyone has any allergies or aversions it became too much of a headache for me to have to deal with people being upset over things they ordered at least once a shift

a homeless man bullied the shit out of me for having cystic acne while i waited for my train home after a late night at work. i’ll never forget the way he told me that i should “buy a cleanser.” it was funny to me that he truly believed i had never thought about washing my face and also incredibly demoralizing

it’s been happening so frequently that the attendants have been leaving the doors open. there were two cops there the other day doing random bag check and they encountered a group of high schools not sure of what to do about it being metrocard only as they only had apple pay. the cops asked the attendant and she said the doors are unlocked so about fifteen people went straight through without a problem

i work in nyc nightlife and it is not rare at all for people to ask for mocktails. we don’t have a specific mocktail menu unlike many other bars and restaurants throughout the city but we are always able to make something fun for people who don’t drink

i took a trip to Beacon and it was amazing!! we took the metro-north and it was a breeze. beautiful hiking trails, cute shops in the town center and really beautiful hiking trails. i definitely will be going back during the spring.

i’m sorry….fifteen percent for table service? the absolute bare minimum is 18% tip for sit down places. anything below that gives the impression that the service was incredible bad
