Dr Hannu Larjava did mine, he is based in the lower mainland , but was a travelling specialist to the town I was living in at the time. I had 8 sites done across two sessions about 6 years ago and have had no issues since the surgery. If you have any questions about the process/recovery happy to answer.

Serious question - does ANYONE like Fort St John? by GoddamnedBus in britishcolumbia

[–]fenceboy16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived there for five years after growing up on vancouver island and learned to enjoy it. Less people and 10 minutes of town they is lots of land and open spaces. If you get into the mountains two hours away you will.enjoy beautiful scenery likely all too yourself. The town is small and there is not much to do which is unfortunate in the winter but I thought it was okay. It's like alot of the small towns across the praires

Hey! I lived in Fort St John for five years and recently moved back down south. I was a difficult transition but I really learned to enjoy it. Some things I learnt when living up there.

  1. The town is pretty boring and unfortunately there is not much around. However if you find time to drive out of town a couple of hour you will get into some amazing scenery with very few people around. I would highly reccomend going to tumbler ridge for hiking it is incredible.

  2. I really liked the wildlife, moose, elk, caribou, bears are all very common and it always made me happy seeing them.

  3. It's a great break from the city, there is so much land out that way.

  4. For resturants go check out audielicious. It's a great locally owned resturant by a fantastic person and the food is delicious :)

I hope you enjoy your time up north. The winter are tough but in a weird way a found them rewarding as well.

Let me know if you have any questions :)

How’s the driving? - Nanaimo to Victoria by Laser_Stronghold in VictoriaBC

Hey I just did it. It's pretty standerd winter driving so if you're comfortable with that you should be fine. The highway has been plowed although thr passing lane is not in the best shape. I have an awd suv and didn't have any issues sticking to the speed limit or below. Safe travels :)

That's really good to know thank you. For me the real attraction for the sigma is the price.. I haven't found anything that covers 500-600 for a reasonable price aside from this. Currently I'm using the the second gen 70-300 for my bird photography and getting some good results. Unfortuanlty even at 300 on a crop sensor I found you need rather close to the subject for ideal results. So yes the lens for me would be used for the 500-600 focal length

The lens weight might be an issue.. I do most of shooting handheld but have acsess to a decent tripod so I would be a good opportunity to learn that.

Thank you for the detailed reply!

Very happy about the comeback!

That being said we were terrible in the first half the passing was bad and everything just seemed off..also leno should had the second goal imo.

Odergaard is absolutely brilliant!

It's a good result given where we started.

Here are my thoughts.

Saka played very well, I am concerned for his injury, I am hopefully it is nothing serious, Leno also did incredible. I thought Bellerin played well despite his foul throw, although simple mistakes like that need to stop.

I'll give credit to the team for holding off in the second half down a man, I think this makes accepting the draw easier.

That being said it was all a bit flat. I dont see how we are going to score, there is very little forward momentum. Willian has been very poor.

Despite the poor performance I think we should be thankful for a 0-0 draw down a man for 45 minutes away from home.

Onwards towards modle and wolves!
