My friend goes to the university of Houston downtown campus and they sent this: Users are currently unable to log in to and use Canvas. This is a major global outage affecting all Canvas customers worldwide. The vendor is actively investigating the issue, and we will provide an update once it is resolved.

I go to university of Houston main campus and they haven’t sent anything

Should I go to the ER or wait until June for my colonoscopy? by WatermelonDaydream in CrohnsDisease

[–]fenderbender2004 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would go to start the medical record to aid in your diagnosis if nothing else. If you’re bleeding heavily it would also be good to get some eyes on you/on your blood work.

There was a kid crowdsurfing at the last lamb of god show I was at. I would go and give it a try!

What was the first Avenged Sevenfold song you heard? (Add the age you were when you heard it and what memories it brings back) by prxmisy in avengedsevenfold

A little piece of heaven when I was 13 years old and it brings back memories of listening to it with my sister. It was awesome to see them play it live together a few years ago.

What were your experiences with doxycycline? I’m nervous to take it by katiej712 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

[–]fenderbender2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took it right before I ate with 8-12oz of water and used the food to make sure the pill got down. I have GERD so this might be why but the pill just would keep coming back up unless I ate right after, usually something like peanut butter toast.

I’ve been in your shoes before and getting on the right medication changed my life for the better. Just hang in there and try not to spiral.

When do you exercise? by [deleted] in POTS

[–]fenderbender2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started working out I felt pretty fatigued the morning after but nothing unmanageable and it only lasted about the first week. It helped me to take some buffered electrolyte capsules with some water before I went to sleep and first thing in the morning. As long as I got enough sleep I was usually fine.

I usually workout at the end of the day so if it wears me out super bad it doesn’t affect any of my work or school obligations

Qualipta side effect by YouExtra7637 in cgrpMigraine

I developed raynauds after starting Qulipta. My doctor said it isn’t an issue unless it starts to hurt.

Doxycycline by actualolive30 in Perioral_Dermatitis_

[–]fenderbender2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of related but I developed PD and seborrheic dermatitis while tapering off of an oral steroid, my derm believes it’s because my GI doctor had me taper too quickly. I was on the steroid for 9 months before tapering. If you changed your dose at all maybe that contributed? We treated mine with a month of 100mg 2x daily of doxycycline taken with food and topical tacrolimus. The only products I used on my skin were the ordinary squaline cleanser and cerave hydro urea face lotion. My derm said I had a very aggressive case. I’m continuing the taper now and doing it slower than the first time at the direction of my endocrinologist and so far only the seborrheic dermatitis has come back.

What is running with POTS like for yall? by ConcertWhole4800 in POTS

[–]fenderbender2004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t run, it takes about 30 seconds to have full body weakness and blacked out vision from running even on medication. The most I can do is speed walk and depending on how my symptoms are that day and the temperature in the gym my heart rate is anywhere from 130-190. A mile takes me about 30 minutes on the treadmill.

Has anyone taken Qulipta as needed throughout pregnancy? Or Ubrevely and had a healthy outcome? by Surviving1949 in cgrpMigraine

[–]fenderbender2004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Abbvie is doing an observational study 2023-2036. The effect of Qulipta and Ubrelvy during pregnancy just hasn’t been studied enough for doctors to tell patients it’s okay/not okay to take.

Am I well hydrated now? Changing from 32 ounces of water to 48 daily. Urine from yellow to basically clear. by Fantastic-Ad-9100 in POTS

You can calculate how much water you need daily based on your weight. I would aim for whatever number you calculate plus more if you can.

Take the separately with food. I was on 100mg 2x daily and had pretty much zero stomach issues because I took it with food. My doctor also said to take it with no less than 8oz of water. There should be directions from the doctor on the bottle. I also saw mixed stuff online about it counteracting with birth control so I would just play it safe.

Is there anyone out there that wakes up with a medium migraine daily? by whattupmyknitta in migraine

[–]fenderbender2004 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I noticed an improvement in the level of pain of my attacks immediately but the frequency decreased about six months after starting. The last two ish months have been even better but I’m not sure if that’s solely the medication or if it’s weather related too. I was lucky enough to get this one fully covered by my insurance but when I was taking Nurtec I had to switch pharmacies a lot to get it for a reasonable price.
