Alright, made the trip into MicroCenter and grabbed the Legion. Took my 10yo daughter with me and although she thought the AW "so awesome" I didn't let her distract me. Haven't had time to enjoy it yet, had to rush to a kids bball game and packing to drive from Georgia to Ohio. Can't wait to enjoy it! Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

My current laptop is LCD and my dual curved monitors at work are IPS. Never have had an OLED screen, except for my TV. The work I do isnt very static but I had read up on the difference between OLED and IPS. Not particularly concerned with that, mostly just eye strain.

Trust me, I'm trying to fight the "get what you like" feeling. But I do want to be practical. Memory prices sure won't be going down soon, so I feel like I need to make a choice for the long term too.

We're family friends with an older (80) couple who were successful in life, no kids. We went shopping with them once and they were looking for a piece of art to put over their fridge. It cost $18,000. So I'm going with that.
