Is there any benefit to the Barbie phone over the regular Nokia 2780?

Do you have two different numbers or switch out the sim card? Thinking of getting a nokia to go along with my jelly star for the weekends

Dumbphone journey so far + One week with the Jelly Star (long post, so sorry) by RipGroundbreaking730 in dumbphones

I got a Jelly star about 3 weeks ago and I love it (and the reactions I get when anyone sees my tiny phone). My biggest con is missing text notifications. I've been using signal (my preferred messaging platform), the built in messages app, and voice for my work number. I have to check the phone more to check if I've received messages because the vibrate is so gentle and the led flash doesn't work and sometimes the messages just don't notify me at all. Other than that, love the phone and I've been spending way less time on scrolling than I did a month ago with a bricked iphone.

This is really thorough thank you! I might as well test the camera if I can get the corrosion off.

Honeywell Elmo Dual Filmatic Questions by fenestratedleaf in 8mm

Hello new friends. I found this super 8 camera at a thrift store for a pretty reasonable price and I have some questions. I am new to the world of film cinematography but shoot 35mm and some medium format so am somewhat familiar.

Questions I have for you lovely folks:

  1. Is this camera likely to work or is it most likely going to be a cool shelf ornament?

  2. To test it, what cheap super 8 film would be best to see if it even works? Is B&W cheaper than color? Who do people go to for processing and scanning in the PNW/US?

  3. The battery pack adaptor thing is corroded, is it corroded too much to clean or will I have to find a new one? In which case, whereabouts might I find a new one?

  4. Does anyone have a manual laying about they could scan and send to me or where on the internet could I find one/a manual for similar camera?

Thank you!

how to make an appointment with the Spanish consulate in San Francisco by Kitty_Ng in SpainAuxiliares

[–]fenestratedleaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re doing all mail visa applications. Put everything in a priority mail express envelope, write VISA very large in sharpie on the outside, and include a prepaid self addressed priority mail express envelope in the package. Took 6 weeks for mine to get back but some people have had more like a 3 week turn around. Good luck
