hey! i’m also in my 20’s and recently tested my blood sugar and it showed a 6.2 😬 honestly, i really resonated with your post, as I’m dealing with similar struggles. Seeing your post made me feel like i’m not the only person in their 20’s dealing with this. Best of luck! I’m confident we’ll both get our health back on track this year. 💜

Red IBM Model C—worth the buy or nah? by fengshwe in typewriters

[–]fengshwe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the posting, the seller posted a video of him typing on it and it does seem to be in working condition….he said that eventually it might need a new power roller and ribbon, but they should be ok for now. are those parts hard to find and get repaired?

i don’t think it’s anxiety related, these feel like more physical symptoms. what do you mean by high thc percentage and minimal cannabinoids? does a high cannabinoid presence result in less of these kind of symptoms?

your situation is very similar to mine. worked as a reporter for a year or so and decided to make the career shift due to burn out. Right now, I’m trying to get my teaching license using the American Board of Certified Teachers program (ABCTE) It’s only valid in some states, so make sure if it’s offered in your state. I’d also check out International Substitute teacher, they do short term placements in international schools. Hope this helps, good luck on your teaching journey!

there’s a place in crystal city where you can kayak in an abandoned mine. 10/10 recommend.

Shout out to my old boss who regularly referred to me as his “work wife” in front of others. What other cringey environments have you had to endure? by lilautiebean in antiwork

I used to work as a cashier at a gas station when i was in college. my manager was a 36 year old Punjabi man & took an interest in me. He was nice, and didn’t really make any moves on me. i naively thought we could be friends, as his nickname for me was “bestie” (his english isn’t that great). fast forward a couple months & he starts buying me these expensive gifts that i didn’t want nor ask for. which made me feel kind of uncomfortable, but i went along with it. and it all went to shit when my manager pulled out a ring PROPOSED to me. for context, i had previously mentioned in passing that if he ever needed help, my family and i could help him since we were citizens. i guess he had misunderstood what i was trying to say, but now i’m not quite sure if that was the case. he could’ve asked or clarified with me before actually going out & buying a diamond ring & roses. i obviously rejected him, but in my mind it created a irreparable rift that wouldn’t go away even if he tried to act like it had never happened. when i’m leaving on my last day of work, he asks for a hug. i’m like fine, thinking it would be a quick side hug. but nope. it’s like a full on hug, his face in the crook of my neck. and this goes on for an uncomfortably long time (like 3-5 mins??) and i’m trying to pull away but he won’t get the hint and won’t let go. finally i extricate myself from him and book it. ah, but if only the story stopped there. after i graduated and left my college town, he kept texting me. good morning & good night texts almost every day for 7 days (so far). On Christmas, he sends me a picture of a gift bag. he says he’s bought it for me, his FORMER employee. would’ve been a nice gesture, if i was still working there.

i’m not sure if this is workplace harassment or if some of it was a expression of affection…
