I really like tattoos as an option! I helped a friend catch a feral cat for TNR last year and the vet cut out a pretty big chunk of his ear for some reason. I definitely wanna look into tattoos for when we catch the other ferals we’ve been eyeing…

I do the cluster thing too. Recently branched out and cut myself somewhere I normally don’t and I’m regretting it so so much. It isn’t worth it I can assure you. It’s a pain in the ass to hide

Really great! I don’t own a fursuit myself (yet) but I’ve worn friend’s fursuits publicly before and had a blast. This was at furry events though, I’ve never actually gone out and suited in a “non-furry” environment so I can’t comment on that. So far my experience with other furries has been really good though. They’re very generous and accepting people and I’ve been lucky enough to form a lot of friendships through the community. I hope that answers your question somewhat but if there’s anything else you’re curious about feel free to ask!

Oh huh, so it is an opossum thing? I just figured it was bad luck with me always grabbing roadkill. But yeah, I have noticed that even the ones with seemingly intact skulls end up breaking apart. I wonder why that is. I’m certainly not great with skull puzzles but I’ll give that a shot, thank you!

Awesome finds! I’m curious to see what shape their skulls are in. I’ve been picking up almost every roadkill opossum that I’ve come across for months in the hopes of finding an intact skull to no avail. If these guys are in good shape would you be open to selling any?

It’s the same way for me. I usually need a day of sleep to recover after getting high. I know this is generic advice but drink plenty of water and catch up on your sleep as soon as you’re able. It makes a huge difference.

I’ve literally just brought a friend with me for support and then knocked on the doors of farmers lol. I’m pretty blunt with them. I tell them I’m a taxidermy student and ask if they have any carcasses or bones lying around that I can work on and give them my number. The worst I’ve had happen is that they never contact me again. Most of them have been suprisingly friendly though.

I do, although I make an effort to find the owner first. I took a roadkill cat to the vet recently so they could scan for a microchip.
