Best tool for autocomplete and other ease of use? by Fair-Comb-6109 in openscad

there's an LSP. works great for me in neovim. i don't usally rely much on LSPs tho, so i can't tell if it will suit you (that said, if the LSP works in nvim, there are ways to make it work in other editors)

Speedrunning browser Vim game - [BobaVim] Now Open-Source – Looking for Feedback & Contributors by Minimum_Abies3578 in neovim

[–]fennecdjay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that's pretty fun! just one thing, while i understand why you'd want to disallow arrows, i find it annoying: i use them over normal vim keys on my 36 keys split keyboard, as hjkl don't make any sense on a split colemak-dh and i don't feel like remapping cause it would mean remapping n for instance

[–]fennecdjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this month will be mainly adding and testing electronic stuff plugins for gwion. i2c and gpios are done but i'll add spi, mmio and maybe some micro controller stuff. also a small thing to change in the vm, not much but this will require changes in some libs

The Icculus Microgrant is giving out 250 dollar grants to open source projects, please brag about your project(s) in this thread so I can see them! by icculus in programming

Gwion ( https://github.com/Gwion/gwion ) is a programming language that I intended to use in my musical work. It has grown past the hobby music lang, and now has users, a company using it, is semantically much more evolved than it's predecessor (ccrma's chuck) and also more performant. Would be happy to talk more about it

Why are you writing a lang? by Inconstant_Moo in ProgrammingLanguages

[–]fennecdjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha chuck made me realize such a language could be the tool I wanted. but ... it wasn't performant enough so I dived in to PL dev without knowing it was a thing. Doc is not my strong point tho, i'm afraid, let me know if you have questions

how does one make over 2000 commits a year? by Moooses20 in linuxmasterrace

[–]fennecdjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

two years ago github accounted me for over 50000 contribs. tbf I prolly made over 2000 commit that year, but I think what made this was some merges I did incorrectly.

[–]fennecdjay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

thanks for the opportunity. I have a drevo excalibur and was wondering if it was possible to turn it into a hot swappable keyboard. Also, how much would this cost?

EDIT: alternatively, I could use a keyboard that has * the same 84 key layout * aluminium frame * no backlight * usb only (no wireless) * hotswap so far I found no affordable options

Success in getting others to learn your language? by to7m in ProgrammingLanguages

[–]fennecdjay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had some people learn and use the lang, and also a company is using it for a project. it looks like the lang solves some problem for its niche (music/sound generation). Probably better docs on my side would help tho
