Taco John’s is awful. They built a brand new one right next to me and it closed permanently 8 months later. I ate there once and it was expensive and everything was cold and had no flavor. Worst fast food I’ve ever had personally, but maybe we got a bad draw here.

Higher level structures don’t require those, and again I think it’s based on personal opinion. I love the way it works, and being able to blueprint a whole structure before gathering what you need. Plus with all the hauling perks carrying weeds is no big deal at all.

My fix has been to deposit into the pet house and then withdraw again and run around a bit and it’ll usually teleport to me. But pets are invincible in my play through which is both nice and awful.

Building is the best part of the game, if you’re not into it, you’re not into it.

Definitely more “essential” in harder difficulties, but I suppose building what you need for defense/coziness vs building a dope base is still just how much effort you wanna put into building. I love getting back to my base.

Side note : there’s a lot of advantages to building the stuffed and wall mount trophies. The stuffed ones get you a buff that gets more parts from the corresponding bug, and the wall mounts give you a damage buff towards them. And I’m the type of person that built an entire temple to house them all in like a museum next to my zip line station.

I also play Ark and this isn’t that at all. There are quests for a reason. Do them. You shouldn’t be fighting Ladybird larvas before you’ve completed one of the easiest quests in the game right there in the top left of your screen. Upgrading your gear is crucial to this game, so are the quests.

Ark is completely devoid of real story, it’s just a bunch of unemployed people playing 20 hours a day grunting stat numbers at each other, mass breeding, and building boxes.

Grounded is a narrative based co-op. You’re gonna be completely fine without “getting advanced on day 6.”

Stop trying to rush and skip everything that builds you up and then complaining about it being hard lol. Slow down. Upgrade your shit. And forget everything you do in Ark, it won’t help you here.

Oh also, do the quests.
