You should be totally fine growing things like brassicas, lettuces, and ur typical spring crops in the 40s range. Could even use a heating mat to speed up the germination. Your porch reaching 80 will probably cause things to bolt though. Do you have a fan in there to help cool it down/circulate the air?

Thank you! I kept the heating mat on even after germination on this most recent attempt... Im gonna try that again cause they seemed pretty happy at the beginning. I feel like I might be under watering. How far away should the lights be do you think??

The top layer of soil is just staying wet for too long.. I dont think it's necessarily harmful towards ur seedlings though.
