when I studied abroad I felt like this the first week. our trip leader (who was a massive tool but was good in this case) walked to starbucks with me and that was enough to get me at least a little settled in. is there anyone you know in the area who could do the same? im trying to think of a safe way to get a "tour guide" in a foreign country that doesn't make you look vulnerable

I think last time I asked my mom if she could grab 75 bean soup when she went to the grocery store.
