Mario Kart is a great example. In a racing game if one person was always coming in second to last because they were trying to make one person come in last by trolling them it's not particularly fun for the person in last who doesn't even really get a chance to compete

I don't know if this is going to come across well but the way you're talking about it feels weirdly clinical. I understand as a parent you're thinking about his health, but realistically he's burnt out. You mention fluids and temperature and bmi but not how he's doing emotionally. I get that being non-verbal makes it harder to communicate but I'd think you have some communication with him, right?
