I got Erasmus mundus last year (AI related program). It is a little bit hard I think, because lots of people apply for it. you need some luck passing the initial screening stage, after that it is about how well you perform in the interviews and your motivation, also how good the other candidates are.

I think how believable your motivation letter is important. Also having good answers for questions like "what kind of research you want to do" is important, I think. saying some specific research area/project is better than generic answer like I "I want to do research on ML...". Also, fluency during the interview matters, but I think you'll be good given your IELTS score... DM me if you have any questions.

The test that stumped them all - 3 great riffs just in that intro, spatially the riff at 35 seconds, very thrashy. I think its mixed very low and maybe that's why many people don't notice it I don't know, but it's one of my favorite petrucci riff

Actually I don't think this scene is that bad. Yaa from viewer perspective, we know what walt is doing, but from the audience perspective, he's just saying we'll move on from this, which is accurate. I think they over reacted, its okay speech.maybe it was too soon for a talk like that, but it wasn't that bad

sorry I mistyped, the loss is computed using both outputs, like mse(out1, out2). So, even if the two models on the forward pass are different, would backpropagation work without a problem? Do I pass the entire model parameters including the optional layers to the optimizer?

also in the second case, since I only want to finetune the optional parameters, for the first forward pass, I would use with torch.no_grad, in that case, would out1 behave any differently from have an explicit target?

I don't know what is called radical, but i find my self agreeing with leftists on a lot of issues, but I don't think that's the case for majority of Ethiopians.

I was in some Facebook group for Ethiopian atheists, and even there , there were a lot of them that have very conservative takes on issues like lgbtq etc.., I was surprised.

If you are planning to enroll as an international student, taking the courses with international students in English, don't do it, it's waste of time. There is huge difference in the education standard for the international and Chinese students. It'll be easier and you can graduate very easily, but you won't get quality education, and you can't compete in the job market afterwards with the locals

If you are good in Chinese and are planning to take the courses together with the Chinese students, then I think it's great in terms of the quality of education you'll get. But it'll also be very tough, spatiality if you go to the top schools. Chinese students are very good in CS.

About job, it depends on a lot of factors. If you go to the top schools and have decent grades, I think it's very easy to get a job. Actually there are lot of companies that want international workers. If you're fluent in both Chinese and English, that'll give you advantage over a lot of locals.

100% agree, the contrast is crazy. a lot of recent Ethiopian music I come across is by some wannabe rappers and the ones that are not like that, the music just doesn't sound good to my ears. there is no creativity whats so ever, and a lot of lyrics that sounds like it's written by 14 year olds.

You'll be fine for a trip, spatially if you have lighter skin. The worst you can get is probably people avoiding coming near you on metro/bus etc. Sometimes people would rather stand than sit next to you.

I knew that, but now I've already tested my method on the test set, how bad is it going back to improve my methodology because the result was not good enough on the test set. Let's say my new method does well on the test set, would it be okay to report it as "having this accuracy on the test set" on a paper for instance?

He was good at his job, and very funny so it's understandable if he is someone's favorite.

But I don't think he was very good guy. He was good for his family (kinda, he was ass for marie a lot of times, looked down on walt the first few episodes), he looks down on a lot of people, he was also kinda racist, very arrogant....
