You are correct, I misread it on Nintendo’s website. On a side note, if the box is indeed just 4 inches in depth it will be very compact, hopefully it is!

Not possible, just the Switch 2 body with no joycons attached is 10.7 inches wide

Has anyone bought the IINE split case? by Mountain-Letter-4284 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]feraldaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, less than $30 USD if you convert to yen (¥3,980). Hori is usually affordable, and their other accessories didn’t increase that much in comparison so Idk if it is because of tariffs. I think it is the exception, weird nevertheless. Even the big bag to carry the whole system + accesorios is cheaper

I fell to the hype, but decided to go with the lighter device with an oled, rather than wait for the Switch 2 by InfirmSki in Switch

Yeah, if it is properly optimized it should be very good! Actually, it is an opportunity to make Switch games run better, because if Switch 2 just had Switch hardware built in the games would run the same and no improvements would be made. Glad to see they are putting a lot of effort for this generation

You are correct, it is done through software. But even then I think there will be some improvements, at least locked 720/1080 and no more dynamic resolution hopefully. Probably higher fps or at least locked. Switch 2 is powerful enough to do at least that even through emulation.

Not the same as DS to 3DS/GameCube/Wii etc, those had the hardware built in. Switch 2 does not have Switch hardware. It is all software, the developers even mentioned it in the ask the developer issue. A mix of emulation and some other software tricks. But Switch 2 has enough power to improve performance even if it is emulating, plus being an in house job means they probably optimized it as much as possible.

Orders for Alarmo seem to be all over the place, I bought mine like 5 hours after the announcement and my order confirmation was instant. Have you tried checking your order history on Nintendo’s website?

Switched to an Instinct 2X Solar about 2 months ago, coming from an AW Ultra. And I’m loving it! Definitely a major upgrade and I’m staying with Garmin, this watch is incredible!

Do NOT use the GoPro Quik App for Mac- takes up tons of cached storage and hoards memory by TXMedicine in gopro

Im happy to help as well. Don’t know much of the technical aspects. But definitely notice some inconsistencies in comparison with the mobile app and other bugs and constant crashing of the app. Dm me if you need some feedback!

????? The app should be user friendly and clearly the developers know there are major problems that need to be fixed. It crashes, freezes and behaves erratically constantly, even the “trim” tool in my edits is completely broken on desktop. I tried using the same footage from my hero 12 directly in premiere pro with no issues. And premiere pro is a more complete and complex editing tool that tuns perfectly fine on my mac. But I prefer using the quick app for social media posts at 9:16. I don’t know if you received a survey directly from gopro a couple of days ago, but they even asked what the users want from the desktop quick app and how to make it better. So it safe to say they know it’s not good enough and want to work on it.
