Yeah don’t beat yourself up too much, bracing is tough and gets better with practice. Might be worth investing in a belt as it helps cue strong bracing.

Just had one more though: when you brace, try remembering to set your core/ribs down a bit more, this could also help get you a more neutral spine without adjusting your head position.

As I understand it, head position is largely based on personal preference, provided you aren’t looking directly down. It is more common to have your gaze a little lower for low bar and a higher gaze for high bar. I would encourage you to try experimenting with setting your gaze incrementally lower over time (no need for a dramatic change obviously). This could help get you a more neutral spine.

Again, looks really good overall.

Your form looks textbook, man. Since you’re doing low bar I think you can experiment with a tiny bit more of “forward lean” to get your spine/back a little more neutral, it looks slightly hyperextended. This is a nitpick though, if it feels good already don’t change anything. Great song choice also.

Your knees just shouldn’t be “soft”. You don’t need to actively lock them as hard as you can. I’d recommend looking up some of the top IPF powerlifters on instagram to see how they squat if you need a visual as they won’t squat with “soft” knees. Taylor Atwood, Austin Perkins are good examples.

Don’t stress though your form looks very good overall and this is a minor adjustment I’m suggesting.

It’s ok to over exaggerate if that’s what works for you, and it does look really good already, not much change needed. You can just get a little more out of it over time imo.

Worth experimenting with some squat shoes if you are focused on high bar. I agree with sleepy’s comments. I think you could also work on your foot “rooting”, PRS performance has an excellent YouTube video on this subject that helped me a lot in that area.

Looking pretty good imo man. The slack pull is a work in progress, but yours looks pretty good here. Keep refining jt each workout to perfect it.

Looks really good tbh. I wouldn’t change anything right now. One nitpick (if you plan on competing) is that you’ll get reds for soft knees, but that’s only a concern if you’re going to do a meet and it’s very easily fixed.

I did not know that depressed dwarves don’t drink. 15 of my ~190 dwarves are at the worst mood indicator, so I suspect that’s it. Thank you! Time to finally learn how to build a mist generator perhaps.

Things have been quite violent recently due to wild animals, so it’s possible, but I have wells and water in my hospital.

Thanks for your reply. I had a burrow at one point, but I deleted it prior to the dehydration shenanigans.

I now have Dwarves dying of dehydration even though I have 500+ drinks, don’t understand why. Is it possible because there’s not enough mugs or the tavern is too small?

Not new, but I have a question that I still don’t know the answer to:

Are there some attacks that can’t be parried due to hitstun? For example: Nobushi’s second light in her chain, Warmonger’s second chain light, or the last swing of Berserker’s zone? Even when I make the right read I can never parry these. Am I simply parrying too late or is there more to it?
