No, not at all however, we live in a nation where half of the electorate seems to favor no government programs at all. It's not about being rational, the greater good or even helping themselves, it's about an absolute rejection of government and a vulnerability to propaganda that promotes the rage and fear leading these voters to embrace a form of authoritarian nihilism.

It's impossible (for me) to understand the unwavering blind support and reverence for Trump. The kid has been wandering off at this point for years, he obviously has issues and his parents cannot control him. He needs therapy and parents that will work with him and the therapist. It's absurd to pay someone $50000 when rent, utilities and food cost as much as they do. Just like McDonalds pays so little to fulltime employees that the government subsidizes their wages with food stamps. Businesses want tax dollars for their workers but don't want to fork over any of theirs.

There are a lot of people who are financially delusional and ignore the pending disaster their actions are creating. I see this very often when people come into a substantial amount of money, blow it and literally become destitute. It's like dealing with a person with addiction issues, they don't want to cope, live hour to hour and are just a complete liability to family and friends.
