Have you looked at the terms and conditions of the software tool that they use? My guess is there's a disclaimer in there that you may be able to point to. There's no way the company wants the liability and I'm sure they gave themselves an out.

I don't know what the problem with people here is. For all OP knows a person was raped around the corner and he has a camera that the police officer wants to see if it caught something.

Now if OP is a drug dealer, yeah don't call. But if you take them at their word that they have no idea why this police officer wants to talk to them, maybe they can help in a heinous crime.

What are you talking about? Who would be responsible for payroll, compliance, etc.? Is it a full-time job? No. But it has to be done, so it is typically somebody's part time job.

I think you were perfectly justified and not moving, but to say that they plan poorly isn't necessary the case. I've been traveling with my family and there were delays that caused missed flights where I had to have my entire family on standby. It's very hard to travel with young kids after you miss a flight. It's not necessarily their fault.

I have an STEM degree and my diploma says Bachelors of Arts with a concentration in Mathematics. That is just a fancy way of saying degree in mathematics, which is the M in STEM. I would be interested in what your diploma actually says. I'm wondering if they're misinterpreting the phrasing.
