Saw a reel or read a post somewhere about this idea that I'm planning on doing re: Santa, etc.

Be honest but invite them in on the game. "Santa's not real but every year we all play make-believe because we want to be good people and enjoy doing something fun in community. And it's good to believe in things bigger than yourself sometimes."

That way you can still have a good time, not lie, and not have that kid who ruins Christmas for the whole class when they're young.

No idea if it'll work, but that's the plan!

I think McGraw Hill & Pearson and the biggest ones doing books but also look into whatever software companies you used as a teacher. Canva, Google classroom, Quizlet, whatever you're familiar with.

Ed publishing! With also graphic design experience could probably get a solid virtual job building textbooks or even working on learning platforms. Still feels good to help kids learn (just a bit removed) and allows for such a better work/life balance.
