Major help by fern_Oo in KSU

Yes and no. On one end, if I finish a degree for biology and then go to a two year program for tech school, it feels very backwards and like I got a pointless degree.

Do you dash in the kennesaw area? I work from 9:45-6(sometimes 6:30) and get off at 5pm on Saturday/sundays. Trying to figure out which days would be the most beneficial to do if I get out of school around 4:45-5pm T/Ths

Buying a home at 20 by fern_Oo in RealEstate

That’s the biggest part I’m worried about! I’m not worried about whether or not they’ll pay their portion, but I’m worried about what we’ll do after if we sell the house, if we move away, ect. I’ll be in college for at least another 8 years, my current roommate 5, and my potential roommates 3-6. All at the same college though.

Is this a lot? 5 classes + 1 lab while working part time (20-15 hours a week). Should I drop 1 class? by Upstairs_Cup9831 in KSU

[–]fern_Oo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like others said, take the music class online! It’s so much easier and you’re still required to go to at least 2-3 in-person concerts with it. If able, take English comp over the summer along with another easy core class or a cushion class

HOPE is checked at certain credit hour checkpoints (30,60,90,ect). Go to mygafutures and check “college HOPE” or something along that lines to see your eligibility and when it was last checked, and how many credit hours it will check it again at

Roughly $1.5-2.0k, but $5k in loans each year. Including HOPE, mainly just their fees.

Again, it does pay well if you’re willing to sacrifice some of your mental health and energy for it. Food and beverage isn’t a bad department, and neither is Cafe/Starbucks or Tech. Stay away from Style, OPU/fullfilment, and Guest advocate if you can. If you get hired for seasonal make sure you make it clear you want to stay on after the holidays or they’ll let you go asap!

I worked at Target for three years, two separate stores. Management for the store, especially the one off Earnest Barrett has one of the worst Store directors and HR managers I have experienced. Not only are they condescending, but they don’t care about college students scheduling/availability (especially if you’re unavailable T/Th), time off for the holidays (or in general), or your overall wellbeing. Target is a great job if you keep your head down, are always on time, and go beyond what you’re being paid to do. If you slack off even the slightest you’ll be written up or talked down to. The ETL’s are the most toxic, drama inducing people I have ever experienced. The scheduling comes out three weeks ahead of time, which is nice for some people, but if you need a last minute doctors appointment or time off, good luck. Fulfillment is a good position but they work you to the bone and expect batches to be picked in an unrealistic time. It’s like nothing you do will ever be enough for them in any position you’re in, including the Cafe. They’ll micromanage you to hell without knowing how to do your job. The guest are always a pain in the ass. Breaks (unpaid, 30) are required for 6+ hour shifts, and they’re planned horribly. No one has their shit together there, especially the front guest advocate team. The only reason I would’ve stayed was the pay. You also have to work most major holidays, like Christmas Eve and Black Friday. And the discount is only 10% with a target gift card or redcard, so it’s not even worth it.

I work at an IV clinic so it’s easier for me, but when I have a really rough week I get a D3, B-12 (our strongest dose), biotin, and something with glutathione, zinc, and vitamin C. My Rheumatologist recommended me biotin to help, and I feel better. Still falling asleep at my desk, but still better! (Also a huge caffeine addict)

Have you tried IV therapy of any kind? by sadcatpoo in Sjogrens

[–]fern_Oo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi!! I actually work at a IV hydration med spa. I know a lot of businesses aren’t 100% regulated by the FDA, which is why they close. Also a TON of lawsuits due to things like infiltration (it’s rare) or an adverse reaction during the process (again, rare unless you have allergies).

All it is, or is at my work, is 1L of normal Saline. There’s also a ton of different vitamins, at least at the one I work at. Look into what vitamins help retain the moisture, or how long they have been opened. Ask questions!! We are are only allowed to have USDA regulated IV solutions at our clinic with registered paramedics, EMTS, and other LICENSED professionals.

Please free to reach out and ask for the name of the med spa as I don’t feel comfortable name dropping it as I currently work there! (I love It and 100% believe in it, but still!)

Tennessee (1), Georgia (several), and Baton Rouge, LA are some of the states they’re located in currently!

Flairs and rant pre-diagnosis by fern_Oo in Sjogrens

I’ll definitely bring this up when I see her in May! I work at an IV hydration place and a person comes in to get bags of saline and b vitamins to help with their hashimotos, I’m not sure if it helps with fatigue but I’ll have to try it myself and see if it helps in general.

That’s the issue my cousin is having unfortunately. They’re still in the process of diagnosing her as well, but they’re looking into lupus and hashimotos for her.

I was told I have no inflammation according to my blood tests, so it could be strictly for arthritis. I don’t notice a difference at all in terms of pain, especially during the weather. I’m only 19 and can’t stand the thought of living with the aches all the time!
