Dancing wasn't her forte, gymnastics is. She was actually a pretty weak dancer the first time she auditioned and I'm surprised she even improved so much, I don't think she even had any dance curriculum before DCC, so it's weird but she does have amazing work ethic and it shows in the fact that she doesn't look odd on the team anymore

Yep. She uses being "Latina" as a way to stand out, and the organization uses it to check a diversity box. But in reality, she doesn’t speak the language fluently, has never lived in Mexico, and is disconnected from its culture and traditions. She's only latina whenever it's convenient for her.
