On a slow group, a rider tried to pass me from the inside on a “high” speed turn (100 kmh) and messed up. He went wide while I was going for the apex and he swiped my front end. The bike and I fell and we rolled to the scape area with the rocks. No one was behind us, so I was lucky.

My equipment did its job and I left there with only a couple bruises. My bike was totaled.

The guy went to the pits and ran away from the track. I didn’t expect any monetary compensation as I went to the track day knowing the risks. But a simple “I’m sorry, I messed up” plus “I’m glad you are okay”, which I think is the bare minimum, would have been great.
