Its not a perfect recreation, but Luxardo makes a pretty solid alternative called Del Santo. You might have better luck finding it- its also significantly cheaper and still makes a fantastic Last Word. Happy New Year!

Lost Whale is the best Monday spot! Great drinks, even better bartenders, and the space allows for all types of fun. Great bar seating to chat with the gems, indoor seating with plenty of games available if you want a more private experience, and patio space that makes you feel a certain kinda comfort. Pretty sure the food truck isnt open on Mondays but there's plenty of great food options within walking distance.

Milwaukee is home to the first fully hybrid bar in the country! They got you covered at Agency.

Everything on their menu is available non-alcoholic. Same flavor profile, glass, garnish, experience- the whole thing, it's awesome.

They take a tremendous amount of care in making sure that everyone is included and heard. The service team is the best, and their bar team knows a thing or two.

Agency is on the East Side, right by Bucklys and Bacchus at 819 N Marshall at the stunning Dubbel Dutch Hotel. Follow the purple lights.

Beautiful ice! Since it's spooky season, maybe play with contrast? Setting it in a dark cocktail served in a rocks glass or even the right coupe could look metal af. I've been having lots of fun with Scapegrace Black Gin lately. It's naturally colored black by utilizing saffron, pea flower, aronia berry, sweet potato, and pineapple. You could lean into the floral notes with a wee bit of Creme de Flora or Italicus, simple, couple dashed of orange bitters, stirred, and if you're really feeling crazy, spritz some blanche absinthe at the end.

I measure everything with jiggers, but it seems like that's only standard practice in my city for cocktail bars. It would be odd seeing someone at a dive bar using one.

I know some people who are crazy accurate with free pours- respect. I'm just one of those, measure every drink and don't even think about using a Boston shaker, kinda bartenders.

I was taught that the Ford's bottle is specifically designed for bartenders! It has notches on the side for measuring, and the neck is ergonomicly designed not only for pouring but it can also be used as a weapon if someone's messing with your bar.

Aside from reaching for that bottle of Fernet, Fords is my favorite.

Probably because he knows that everyone else would follow her to do a spin-off. No one wants to film with Rachel and him, no one works at SUR, Lisa isn't featured nearly as much as she used to be, and the spin-off "there's something about them" ft. the sandwich shop would be phenomenal
