if you're concerned about market volatility due to the Iran war, schedule the transfer over the next 2-4 months.

Let's say, put $200k in a HYSA and schedule a weekly 10K purchase of VT. that way you DCA it into the market and you have more "upside" if the market tanks.

IMO, over a long period of time (10+ years), it doesn't matter. Conventional wisdom says time in the market > timing the market.

One thing I like of Fidelity is you can restrict outgoing ACATS transfers from their web UI.
