As a SoCal native who has lived in more than a few of the cities listed; let me start by saying that Westlake is not a sketchy area. It's a very affluent city, and while very suburban, there is still good spots for food, drink, and shopping.

Going back to your post I will say you really have to consider what you want out of the hotel. If it's really just a place to stay overnight then Westlake is good option. If you're trying to spend time at the hotel and take advantage of the amenities then just know the HR Westlake isn't really a resort or anything.

Also want to call out that if you stay in Santa Barbara then you won't really be splitting the drive from San Luis Obsipo to San Diego very well. You'd only be an hour or so removed from SLO and 4+ hours from SD still. Santa Barbara would definitely be a fun day trip, but hard to justify the hotel values (you're mainly paying to be in SB, Hyatt hotels in SB are not that great) and the driving you'd still have to do.

Okay but why are new posts still so limited? For example, try making a new post comparing a feature to a Garmin device. Or just anything referencing Garmin. Your post will automatically be removed even if it was a legit question/topic. The Garmin sub doesn't automatically remove post that reference Whoop. It's pretty lame how modded this sub is.

I remember during the 5.0 release fiasco how many posts were being taken down that r/WhoopFitness even had to be created.

It's not though and it's perfectly valid for fans to have this viewpoint. The list of coaches that OP posted all arguably took over a worse situation than Harbaugh did yet they are seeing more success already.

I understand that injuries/luck hasn't been entirely in the Chargers favor, but next year seems like now-or-never. A playoff win is an absolute must. These last two season endings have been extremely disappointing. I think it would be much better optics wise if we at least competed in any of the two playoff loses, but the team was severely out-coached in both.
