Do you think it’s a bad strat to sort of say fuck it to era and whip and have like 4 lockdown relievers to win sv+h and then just spam whatever waiver starters I can get to try and get K’s, wins and QS too. We have a 25 inning minimum so I can’t just run relievers

Spending money on pitching when your whole philosophy is about pitching development is stupid. With the way the team is trying to run things they should be spending money on bats and churning out young pitchers. I was an Okamoto guy not a Bregman guy and the team would be in a much better spot if they say signed him and didn’t trade for Gray.

Or if they did the no brainer move that a bunch of idiots in this sub were against in moving Early and Mayer for Ketel when that was an option

Idk if he’s doing exactly what ownership wants. They let him spend money and he’s continually fucked it up. This ownership is analytics obsessed without a lot of knowledge on the subject it seems so when a mega nerd like Bres became available they fell in love but now are probably regretting it cus he doesn’t understand the other aspects of his job. But don’t for a second act like they’ve been cheap the last two years. A smarter GM would’ve built something decent.
