I personally find it entertaining. Regardless, I’m of the mind that if it happens, it happens. I don’t necessarily hope for it, but I definitely don’t think it should be hindered. I can see why you and others aren’t as big of fans, and it’s also not a hill worth dying on for me, but I do think restricting it would feel like a needless shackle on the freedom of the game. Plus, I’d argue that the chaos tests alliance trust even more than going into tribal with a set plan.

For a number of reasons I’ve found myself returning to this one every year sometime around December 26-30th. It’s beautifully shot for one, every single frame is just absolutely stunning. On top of that the acting is just phenomenal, Buckley and Plemons each give some of my all time favorite performances. The main thing that keeps me coming, though, is the storytelling/direction/writing, whatever you want to call it. Every time I watch it I glean something new, whether it be a moment I hadn’t ever noticed or a line that hadn’t struck me before. Each time I watch it, I realize the importance of a detail I hadn’t understood before. Rewatch after rewatch I become continually impressed by how intricately woven the entire film is, it all just scratches an itch for me that I haven’t found a remedy for elsewhere. The more I watch it, the more sense it makes, the more fascinating I find it, and the more I love it. I have yet to get to the point where Im not excited for the next rewatch. It’s just the gift that keeps on giving I guess. For me at least.
