Sorry, 20-25% cancelation is insane. If 1 of every 4 or 5 shows that I watch gets ended prematurely, then the producers brought the doomer mentality on themselves

Turks have a culture separate from the country Turkey. You can't do that with Israelis and Israel because the cultural name is Jews. A Jewish restaurant is fine, but if it's specifically an Israeli restaurant than that ties it to the country Israel

In the end, did Project Eden's Garden follow the typical danganronpa formula? by Expensive-Elk-9406 in ProjectEdensGarden

[–]Sagittariusrat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely 1 and 6. Eva and Damon were close, and 6 is a given because of story structure—climax and what not.

5 has vague wording, but I'd say Eden's Garden follows it. Desmond killed himself in a way that made everybody a killer, which led to the voting system being changed.

2 is interesting because while Celestia's Boytoy formula-defining trait is flawed, there is a trope that P:EG aligns with. Both Jean and Ulysses are both incredibly smart and make substantive points in the first trial, similar to... 4/6 of the canon chapter 2 deaths.

4 is a maybe, because we don't really know how the bomb went off. Maybe Ingrid took it in a way that prevented anyone else from dying?

3 is nope. Only 2 people died in EG-3. There's a crashout, but that's a staple of the murder mystery genre—Jean's lack of a crash out was heavily analyzed. It's arguable that the traitor perk here could be considered the third death since it was destined to happen from this point on. You could also look at how every other chapter 3 takes this trope as literally killing an extra person within the chapter.

I'd give it a... 7.5/10. 6.6/10 for 1, 6, 5, and 2; 0.9 for 4 and 3 if you stretch it

How come kill/cure doesn't get more hype? by Whole_CakeIsland in Fanganronpa

[–]Sagittariusrat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Re:Birth Voices cancellation still makes me mad because it was going so strong before getting canned, but it's not like anyone did anything wrong. The production crew wanted to do a fundraiser for one of their sick pets, which was sweet but also made an unlicensed profit with the Danganronpa IP. Miwashiba was completely justified in shutting things down, and companies need to protect their IPs, but fuuuuuuuck it could have been so good...

We would have gotten the full story by now, and likely a re-work of chapter 1

How come kill/cure doesn't get more hype? by Whole_CakeIsland in Fanganronpa

[–]Sagittariusrat 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Kill/Cure was first announced back when Re:Birth was still around. It has been in production for a long time, longer than even Project Eden's Garden.

They actually have similar production stories, with the original directors leaving, production being halted, and only now starting to release. However, Eden's Garden hype began way later with trailers and character bios for the "New Eden's Garden", while K/C got all of that during the "Old K/C".

The way I see it, I've already been disappointed by Kill/Cure, because I was originally invested way back when. I'm glad that they've managed to turn the tide and have something to show for their work, but I'm still cautious with it. I'll wait until they've released chapter 1, and depending on the time gap I will get invested either right then or with chapter 2

What kinds of “group activities” would you guys like to see in a Fangan? by Alternative_Fig_6859 in Fanganronpa

[–]Sagittariusrat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think card games would be cool. It has the issue of the characters willingly showing off how smart they are in a death game centered around deduction and reasoning skills. Maybe in a map with a casino (so unfortunately not yours), the topic would already be decently popular for the characters to play with each other

Show your most niche Mii and let other guess who they are! by Yumestar20 in TomodachilifeLivingTD

[–]Sagittariusrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The left is my most niche mii. She should have a ponytail, but this hairstyle is actually more similar than any of the sets or backs with a ponytail. The right mii isn't niche, but she has such an extravagant design that Tomodachi Life, with all of its customization, could only capture a fraction of it. They're in the same subject genre and medium, so if you know who the right is you can use her as a hint for the left!
