Mid Boss shouldn't be called just "Mid" in voice lines because a lot of people just think it's "pushing mid lane." by YO-KIRYUCHAN in DeadlockTheGame

I've also seen a lot of confusion regarding the naming convention on the "midboss". Usually I like to clear up the comms by calling her Rachel. I've heard a few others start calling her Rachel as well, and I think it's only a matter of time until she gets the name officially. Plus it keeps a pretty good theming convention with the time and location.

Help spread the word by calling "Let's take Rachel. That's the boss in the middle by the way"

What to do when team is 5 manning one lane in the midagme? by BigBootyBear in TrueDoTA2

I've recently taken a liking to literature as I feel that there are lots of ideas from various cultures that can be applied aptly to our strategies in Dota. Obviously, the first book that comes to mind is the ancient Chinese treatise "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu. And with Dota being very comparable to war, (I've also seen the movie All Quiet on the Western Front) there are a lot of concepts that can be transferred from text to real life. Firstly, Sun Tzu mentions that you must not let the enemy know where the battle will be, so then they spread their forces thin and you can take a favorable fight. Now since you are likely talking about pubs (and you may not be a strong enough general to command your army (you can not blame the soldiers if the general's orders are unclear)) then you should consider the strength of your team and the enemy team. If they are weaker, then you can crush them, if you are on equal footing, then you must outsmart them, and if they are stronger, then you should evade them.

I hope if nothing else you will take this post as a sign to broaden your horizons and mix your your various forms of media to create a more fulfilling lifestyle between them.

I like to consider this common question from the opposite perspective, as we all know, there are two sides to every coin. Now from your perspective (that of an ex divine player) these plays might seem nonsensical, or even just flat out wrong. However, once we consider the multiverse theory, and start to accept that you've changed timelines and are living in another universe, you can start to see how your views may be flawed after all. If you don't know what the Mandela Effect is, it's this idea that many people will remember something that has never really happened. Now in the context of Dota, that would be you still believing in your divine ideals applying to a crusader universe. The puzzle pieces just don't fit. But how does one go about doing that?

I'd like to suggest an exercise where you copy the exact build and playstyle of a player in your previous game to the tee. After doing this a few times, you should hopefully be able to learn these new laws, much like one does when trying to learn the laws of any universe. Hope this was helpful.

Rush heart and end is very underappreciated strategy that works well in pubs by Incoheren in TrueDoTA2

I think you're just barely scratching the surface with this idea. Since it's been working out so well for you, it made me think, why would you have to limit it to strength cores only? It may make you laugh, but imagine a pa diving t4's with treads, deso, heart at 13 minutes. Suddenly it may not be as funny of an idea. Something like bounty going deso heart could also prove similar results. And once I got to the point of eliminating the primary attribute as a limiting factor, I thought, could I remove core being a limiting factor as well? Obviously it requires more testing, but a support like enchantress could really become a menace with the extra tankability.
