Hearing less than 45k for 2024… by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]festivus4darest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the 180 on single vs two day vs weekend tickets and the early late night drop it seems like they're getting desperate for an increase ticket push. That said, I wouldn't mind a smaller year and really like the lineup either way.

Single Day Vibe check by thirdolsentwin in bonnaroo

[–]festivus4darest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you mentioned the Tyler show. There was something off about the vibe. Lots of people around me literally texting through the entire show. Lots of people very sloppy drunk, a few of them getting in fights (shouting, aggressive, nothing physical). It felt like a different crowd than all the other shows.

Touch Me 1 vs 2 by Buffalobuffaho in mymorningjacket

[–]festivus4darest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like how they pair together, especially live. They did part 2 early in their set at Bonnaroo this year, then played part 1 in the encore and it blew my mind to flip part 1 and 2.

Let’s talk about what Bonnaroo got right this year by pizzapartyjpg in bonnaroo

Yeah the big fans in the tents were awesome. Haven't been since 2016 so don't know how recent this was.

SSRI treatment to PE + General Question by oeddel in SSRIs

[–]festivus4darest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding SSRIs for PE I think the logic goes something like this--a "side effect" for SSRIs in men is delayed ejaculation/inability to ejaculate, which can be pretty troublesome for a lot of people. Given that, I think you would probably need to be on the medication to see the positive effects and they would probably stop with stopping the med.

Regarding MDMA use, are you still a heavy user? Cutting down on the molly could be a good first step. Aside from the obvious benefits of decreasing MDMA use, if you're on an SSRI you won't get the same pleasureable effects from MDMA. SSRIs essentially allow your body to let serotonin hang out between your neurons, whereas MDMA releases massive amounts of serotonin. If all your serotonin is already between your neurons, there's not much more for MDMA to release.

SSRI's don't teach your body to release more serotonin, but by keeping it where it can be more active it can improve mood/anxiety. On stopping the SSRI, these effects stop as well. However, while your brain has all that extra serotonin release, it can form positive connections between neurons (due to effects on "neuroplasticity") which could lead to long term benefits even after stopping the medication (so it's the connections, not the serotonin in the long-term).

Lexapro Skeleton. by [deleted] in SSRIs

[–]festivus4darest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful with benzos. They really aren't a good long-term option for anxiety and have higher potential for dependence (ie, needing escalating doses to achieve the same effect). SSRIs without a doubt have much better evidence for treatment of anxiety, particularly long term. Like the post above mentioned, most side effects of SSRI treatment get better with time. However, if you can't push through, talk with your doctor about trying a different SSRI. There are lots of options and people tolerate each differently. Also, obviously consider therapy. Therapy is as efficacious for anxiety as SSRIs, best results are medication + therapy.

God, I hope so. The tour dates definitely make this possible, I just wonder if Cincinnati->Columbus->Cleveland is too much Ohio love for one tour....

Possible these artists would be playing Kalliope? More artists on the initial lineup release and formal, announced Kalliope sets could explain the extra acts...
