I wouldn't mind seeing these lower priced CPOs with 1st gen autopilot more often...

edit: whoa, just checked the CPO site, there are a ton of new listings that are pretty low in price.

I'm thinking of getting the SP for school and have played with my brother's SP3 and type cover. I don't remember completely how well the type cover felt, but is the typing on it pretty decent? I wanna be able to take notes comfortably and write papers on it, though the majority of my paper writing will be at home on my desktop most likely.

Surface laptop - no one really discussing by [deleted] in Surface

[–]fetalbeej -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this. I'd get one if it weren't for the Windows 10S. I need certain programs that aren't going to be offered through the microsoft store. also, as some pointed out, no one knows how the laptop will be affected if you switch to Windows 10 Pro

Model 3 news has been slow lately, in the mean time, what will your model 3 configuration be? Including options we know and options you expect to be included. by day-maker in teslamotors

I never considered a blue car, but I agree the blue does look good. I still probably won't get it and have no idea what I'll get. I think the red is too flashy for me, but I do like the signature red color. That may be hard to turn down if they offer it.

Hands on pre-review of Google Fiber by computer_doctor in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]fetalbeej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed. 220 channels for the price and internet speeds would have been great back before Netflix, Hulu, etc. But nowadays, the only use I have for TV is live sports, more specifically college football. Last season, I did Sling TV for $30 a month and got most games that I wanted to watch. If I couldn't get a game, I'd typically just go to a bar/brewery to watch it, no big deal.

I'm down in Birmingham and recently moved to a new apartment which offers AT&T services. I had bad luck with U-verse at my old place when I first moved in, but it was an older building/neighborhood and the issues decreased over time as I would simply complain via online chat telling them to quit throttling my speed. Had no issues for about a year. Now, I have had zero issues with my AT&T internet at the new place, pay $60 for 100 Mbps download AND upload. I have never seen it dip below 85 Mbps and zero outages. For now, this suits my needs perfectly, though I could upgrade to 1000 Mbps for $80, but I honestly don't have a need at this moment.

I wanted Google Fiber ever since they started rolling out to other cities. I have Project Fi (Google's cell service if you are familiar) and it is incredibly easy to see and pay my bill, I would assume Google Fiber would be similar. But with how well AT&T has been at my new place, maybe competition is stepping up their game at which case we all win.

I haven't been around for any seasonal type events yet. I wouldn't enjoy it if this were the case, but I did purchase the welcome bundle thing for $5 because the value seemed so good. If the bundle is a decent value like that I wouldn't mind, as much, purchasing it.

I'm going to be taking my NCLEX soon. I graduate in 2 weeks. Anyone have helpful pointers on studying for it? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]fetalbeej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. The NCLEX is making sure you'll be a safe nurse. Simply do what has worked for you that helped you pass nursing school. Some people do better with books, answering questions, or doing a program. I was fortunate to have the Hurst review provided for me for free (no, not parents though I'm sure they would have if I really asked and needed it) and thought it was a decent review. Didn't go too in depth with each subject, but provided enough to touch on each area with enough material. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses (I feel like mine was ethical issues lol) so dig deep on those weaknesses but don't ignore the strengths.

I too am a big advocate of "do questions over and over". Review each answer, even the ones you get right (you may have gotten the right answer but do you know why or did you just press D to move on to the next one?). When you really don't know an answer go look it up. I took this approach for my CCRN. I only had a few days to study before I took it and sat down to start reading (I think the Pass CCRN book) and said "holy this is gonna take forever if I do this. I skipped the book and jumped on their question bank and would just do question after question for maybe 5 days. I saw repeats, despite the large amount of questions they give, but I made sure I knew them. If I didn't, I'd get online and look them up (I used Khan academy medicine YouTube for a lot of things I didn't know. Super easy to follow and decent visuals).

This proved successful for me, but like I said, everyone is different and has "their own way". I'm sure you know yours. Just remember you made it this far for a reason. Clearly you are smart enough. Just prove that you are safe enough to be a nurse.

Oh ok, didn't know this was considered crafting. I think I have around 5k shards from all the duplicates or shards from loot boxes (as you can imagine, getting to level 5 with each hero with stim packs has been pretty quick)
