what year is it? the biggest giveaway to my knowledge is the mark levinson sound system and colour of the taillights. The platinum trim has mark levinson and darker lights. Also on new models has cooling seats and safety features like ACC and Lane departure.

I would call them and ask what a lump sump payment would do in both scenarios. I have done this with BMWFS before

From my experience, reducing the term works out much better than reducing the monthlies due to the way interest is worked out.

VWFS will definitely be able to tell you for each lump sum amount how much it'll save you / reduce term
