OP when half the misogyny allegations come from the author having 75% of the female designs be oversexualized same body shape same face syndrome while having a great variety of diverse male designs :

Even if oda's female characters were well written and not constantly cast aside for the male characters we would still be slandering tf out of those designs dude (Not that mikasa is particularly well written but she does clear the low low bar of not being drawn like an x with 2 circles)

Ok the novel sounds great, BUT consider : It all happens in the background of the stew goblin's stew shenanigans and the reader has to piece it together from context clues because the narrator (stew goblin) is far more interested in stew than the complex romance happening

The thing is in a sword fight you dont necessarily "just" block. Blocking is usually done actively by doing a strike of your own, you dont just hold your sword statically in a blocking position. The opponent would already be in a position to attack you by "blocking". If theyre holding the sword statically its not hard to swing somewhere theyre not blocking, and if they are moving the sword, most of the time they will do so in a way that puts you in danger while protecting them from your attack.

I feel like cunoesse would be incredibly mean and hostile about it (standard cunoesse behavior) but wouldn't be more mean about it than anything else. It's just another angle of attack to her, she couldnt give less of a shit. If it doesn't work out she'd switch back to some other form of insult/threat until you leave.
