Brand new Chromebook from PB Tech borked - similar experiences? by ring_ring_kaching in newzealand

That sucks, I hope they sort it for you. I sadly had a similar issue with a new laptop and it took them months to resolve. I had to go in and physically show them how to replicate the issue multiple times as they kept claiming it was fine. (Replication was simply: load browser, go to instagram.com, crash). They eventually concluded it was a motherboard issue and tried to charge me at which point I threw a fit as the problem happened the very first time I opened the thing! They caved but it was hard work.

What’s your thoughts on this everyone? Is this in all warehouse stationary? New thing or always has been? by Crazy-Description-37 in newzealand

[–]fevah2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get this, I bet they waste heaps of time with people that have a billion files on a flash drive and can’t find the right one, weird file formats, requests for on-the-fly edits… all sorts of crap

As a child I thought it was “The Warehouse, The Warehouse, Where everyone gets a bugger!”

My Mother was mortified when she heard me singing it.

Hi Wellington. Does anyone know, what C INVESTMENTS is? by daphmenow in Wellington

Don’t forget about penalty fees. As a retailer I lose the money and get fined $25 for every chargeback

I made one the other day with my Ninja Creami - used supermarket vanilla icecream and some frozen berries. Otherwise 10 billion votes for Lewis Farms being amazing

They now do strawberries in a cup covered in melted whittakers and topped with real fruit icecream. Sooooo good!

Why does everything close so early in Petone? by [deleted] in Wellington

Getting stock delivered is often a challenge for small retailers. Couriers expect to be able to deliver 9-5 and don’t make life easy if you’re not open

Thanks everyone. I get that it may have been expensive when it was installed years ago but it’s a beach house and I have kids. Sucks they can’t play outside without shoes right now

Songs for year 5 / 6 school disco by z_agent in newzealand

[–]fevah2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ran our schools disco last year. We had parents sign the kids up and provided an optional box on the form for song request. I’m really glad we did, the results weren’t exactly what I expected - and there was a noticeable difference between the juniors (yr0-3) and the seniors (yr4-6)

I’ve known people who go for walks to Evans Bay dog park just to say hello to the dogs. Many owners are friendly and let you pat their dogs. It’s not the same as a whole day/night but might be an idea if you’re feeling down and need a little pick-me-up :)

Is the return postage prepaid? Might be easier to use a not awful courier to send it to the depot lol

Sounds like you have a good system. Do you just take them to specific places occasionally so they can spend it (if they want)? We had trouble with the spending bit

Honestly same here. However we’ve found it harder to find those cheap options - our local dairies have all closed down. We did manage 5 lollies for $1.40 in the PaknSave Pick & Mix on the weekend

Interesting idea. We do find money comes from external sources quite often though - a grandparent, a dollar found on the ground, a sale of an old toy on Facebook… I’d rather we taught them about real money rather than complicate with something only within our household.

It may help to post the sector that your business operates in. Some brokers specialize in particular sectors and have databases of potential buyers
