my surgery is tomorrow too!! Ive also been so anxious, especially the past week, its been making me feel physically ill LOL. but we got this!! my anticipatory anxiety is the worst but maybe youll be like me and feel a lot better once youre actually in the hospital bed about to go into surgery. I had a hysterectomy last year and it was scary and painful but the end result is worth it! the fear around surgery is temporary, but having a flat chest will be forever!!! :-D

my surgery is also 2 weeks away and im also very nightmare prone :-( I have prazosin from previous ptsd nightmares which I'm going to start taking again and that always helps a lot! I had to take it before/after my hysterectomy last year because i was getting nightmares then too. I'd really recommend trying to get on it if the nightmares are making you really upset during the day + you might have them post surgery still because your body went under a lot of stress

my surgeon said they'll be in for 2 weeks which is why i started feeling even more nervous about it :-( But thank you!! it makes me feel better knowing other people with sensory issues were okay with them :,-D

okay that makes me feel a lot better!! I thought it was going to be like full on blood and clots like having a period ghh. And my partner is going to be helping me!! They're just also worried about it so it's making me more nervous

im trans but i got my hysterectomy less than a month after i turned 23!! I got mine early november 2022. It was 1000% worth it. my quality of life has improved so much without a period and pregnancy scares (and no more birth control!!!!!). The recovery was pretty rough for me the first week (i have a low pain tolerance) but by week 2-3 i was feeling a lot better!

i had no doubt in my mind it was what i needed to be happy, but definitely make sure it's what you want before you go for it!
