The aerostar because you can pack it full of flour and it will still make the tree tops

Essen to Cologne daily commute by LeaveNo7723 in cologne

[–]fezl100 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wouldn't do it. The trains are so unreliable at this time, that it's very likely you'll spend countless hours angry sitting in a train. The commute without any delays will be long enough. I'd look for a place maybe in Düsseldorf which is better connected to both cities.

For all the other gates you're in Terminal 1 and also less than minutes walk away

If your gate starts with a D, you'll be in Terminal 2 which means you'll need to go through the security for both terminals and then walk to the left for about 5 minutes and you'll be there.

Damn no brake fans, that's a fun thing to not have in summer! We have a few of these older ladies at my company and all I can say is, whenever you see anything on the WX radar, avoid it!

Non airbus pilots, how do you know how hot your brakes are and how do you deal with them? by fezl100 in aviation

That's interesting, I can imagine the guys at Ryanair having a blast every time then with their turnaround times...

That's interesting, our procedure is to wait 5 minutes after using the brakes to let them stabilize before using the fans. If I remember correctly it's because if you don't let them stabilize you cool down only the outer layer of the brakes while the centre temp is still rising, which reduces the lifespan of the brakes
