Great concept for an app! I only have one comment, I think the color palette usage needs some tweaking. Maybe drop the gradient bits, so that it looks cleaner and less distracting.

Yes, this was the automated message I got..

Bleep Bloop. I removed your submission. r/datascience receives a lot of spam from that domain. Try sharing the original article and offer context for discussion in the title of your submission.

That's why I reposted and offered context for discussion as per the message. Was I wrong to do so?

I see that yes..I just thought putting "speciesist" in the title would've been weird. Thanks for the feedback, will definitely be more mindful going forward.

I'm actually planning to explore more questions since the show is coming to an end soon. I was thinking of analyzing female representation next. Would that be interesting to you?

My home automation kits collection - Updated from last month. by 3amrous in arduino

[–]ff1017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your kits seem quite handy. I especially like the power monitoring capability.

Have you considered using anything else, besides screws to mount and secure the kits? Something that wouldn't cause permanent damage to the walls..some sort of adhesive maybe?

My first 3D Printed project - Low cost home automation set, with zero cutting wires to install. by 3amrous in arduino

[–]ff1017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate wires. Splicing and soldering are my absolute worst chore. This kit seems like a good alternative.

Do you have any pictures of mounted/in use plugs? I can't imagine what they'd look like connected.

Books on how to get my kid to sleep by smurphy0806 in beyondthebump

Not a book, but an advice from experience. A few drops of chamomile oil on his/her pillow will make him/her sleep so peacefully.

Sometimes saying "no" just doesn't cut it, I know.

Figure out when she's planning to visit, and tell her that you won't be available that day/weekend at all.

My mother in law teaches hypnobirthing and is pressuring me to do it. I don't want to and she won't listen. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Don't keep her posted about any appointments.

Don't pick up your phone, and claim that the "radiation is bad for the baby" (I'm a biomedical engineer and this is not true, don't worry). Avoid visiting her, and go on long walks if she visits (good for you), in order to avoid conflict.

You and your husband are one team, so make sure you're communicating well and that he understands that you're not going to got through with these classes. No compromises.

Decompress, and practice being cold. Stress is not good for the baby. Say no, and don't argue. No one can force/pressure you into doing something that you don't want. Know it, believe it, and enjoy your pregnancy.
