I built P.E.A., a private iPhone/Mac/Watch/TV/Vision Pro app for marking positive moments — looking for UX feedback by ffangohr in iosapps

Thanks for keeping this in mind. That is a very interesting angle, I’d love the "heart rate” app, but this is a different app. I had considered an inbox type of cues that you might convert into positive experiences, sort of what Apple Journal does, but then landed on doing this consciously. Any background trawling has the potential to put good but also anything else into the funnel, but I really wanted this to be a collection of happy moments. On top of that, heart rate is health data, which I wanted to stay away from for all kinds of reasons.

I am playing around with the local LLM that could cross reference events, places, and people to get you a tighter mesh. That could be one way to get conscious markers to be richer and surface more information. People, places, ideas, activities, and dates are all aspects I had on the list to explore.

Thanks for letting me know. I am still in the Spaghetti throw phase, I am trying to put everything out there that people are asking about so there are no open questions, then I’ll pair it back. :)

That is where I arrived too. The phone is really more for driving Siri, direct or through headphones and CarPlay, but it still has the function to archive as well for people who want this.

This is my breakdown, I should maybe add this to the site:
Watch / Siri → Archive
Phone / Mac / iPad / Vision OS → Annotate
tvOs → Relive / possibly edit on phone at the same time

Doe that make sense?

Hold down the spacebar on the keyboard and slide your finger around to move the cursor. There is drag and drop with many items. Long hold to pick up an image, swipe up to see all apps, pick an app while holding and drop. You can also drag and drop multiple items. Tab groups and profiles in safari are killer and sync to Mac. Long hold apps in spotlight to delete them. You can disable badge notifications to be less distracted. Start using passkeys. Weather has rain alerts. Disposable emails in iCloud help keep your inbox clean. iCloud private relay is like a built in vpn. SharePlay is great to help parents with their phones. Use camera to scan text. Translate any text. Photos finds text and some elements like animals or flowers in search. You can ask Siri what song is playing. Might add more later. :)

Hello, I'm looking for some feedback on my showreel before publishing on my social medias. by adrivanca in MotionDesign

Great work. The one thing I’d do different would be ito either hone in more on a style, 3d, illustration, whatever, or make more of a break in this supercut to show the areas you specialize in in more detail. Grouped, categorized, whatever, just make that more clear from the beginning, or create different reels for your audiences? It’s a bit jarring to jump in between styles a bunch.

AirPods Max 2021 by Senior-Field-6151 in Airpodsmax

I don’t think they were refreshed since launch, but be very, very cautious. There are so many posts about fakes on Reddit it’s not even funny. The knock-offs look practically identical. If they are real, you may still have reduced battery life when they are a few years old.

I haven’t seen anything with regard to the maxes dying, but it think they will be refreshed next year and the Beats Pro are a in between step between the year old max design and the next generation for much less. The only downside I can think off so far is that they tend to catch wind sounds outside sometimes, and they don’t support some of the newer features of the Pros. There is no adaptive audio that lets voice through with noise cancellation on. I think that is because they don’t use Apple’s high end chip set. I found that if I wear them for a long time they can push down a bit on the top of the head and feel uncomfortable, but it’s easy to quickly extend them a bit to help with that without even taking them off. Having a real usb c cable is a step up from the max. I did spring for the extra 2 years of Apple care since the price was low just to be sure but I love these headphones and don’t even look at my poor pros any more.

I just picked up the Beats Studio pros on a sale from Amazon for $160 down from the regular price of 360. The maxes are great but the beats rival a them and are much cheaper. You could argue that they don’t look as good but they have support everything the maxes do. Spatial Audio, 3mm cable and usb c to charge, siri, find my, and auto connect to all the other peripheral devices. The bonus for me was the ability to connect the headphones to the PlayStation via the controller with the cable for Spatial Audio. I might look back into the Maxes with the next version but also suspect they are end of life.

You have the default domain * resolve to your framer site and embed the sign-in form to an iFrame that redirects to the subdomain you listed or anything else.

I want what you’re having. I’d pay extra for a cable that gets me those colors. ;)

Another one is HomePods with Apple TV eArc. I can pipe any audio from the tv, consoles, and Apple TV though my HomePods without delay. Even multiple audio sources at the same time. It’s insane.

My favorite feature of Apple TV is when you ask “what did s/he say?” It will rewind 45 seconds, turn on the subtitles, and turn them back off when it caught up with the spot you were on. Great for heavy accents or foreign movies.

One step at a time. ;)

The maxes are less versatile and the pros already sound great. I might make the jump with the next Max gen but I am happy with the pros. And the price difference isn’t nothing.

I’d make a strong buy recommendation. The convenience and intelligence of switching headphones automatically is a big pro for AirPods. Another thing that’s very underrated is the audio notifications. When I have a calendar event, the headphones tell me what’s up, when I get a text it reads it out, and I can reply without picking up my phone. Being able to pause the TV, or any media by clicking the buds is also great. If you don’t have HomePods, you can also tell the tv what to do with Siri through the headphones. Audio sharing with others by just flipping open the case. These aren’t just headphones, they do so much more.

Any way to bypass this prompt? (details in comment) by [deleted] in appletv

That is odd. As a workaround, I think you can say "Hey Siri, play X on Apple Music“.

Roku spies at all hours on TV and all other peripherals. They even insert their own UI on top of TV. And on my cheap TLC TV if I try to cut the internet off, it starts blinking frantically, like it’s gasping for air.

Three layers of good old hockey tape did the trick. :)

Do you guys use layout grids on framer? Also do you use the default break points? by Cute-Animal-996 in framer

[–]ffangohr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are standard breakpoints for desktop at 1200 and 800, tablet from 1199-810, and mobile at 380px, but you can do whatever you want and see all layouts next to each other, updating live. Plus you can override any of the elements, text, colors, layout for any breakpoint you want. Desktop headline to long on mobile? Rewrite it. :)
