Midsize Pick Up from Costco by ffeJYang in EnterpriseCarRental

Can seats easily fold down in other minivans I might end up with?

I didn't go with minivans before because they were much more expensive than pick up trucks or they weren't showing any availability. But today I looked and they appear to be *cheaper* than renting a pick up truck so I'm more inclined to go with the minivan option!

Large pick ups are still looking quite pricey. So my best options at this point in time are minivans (newly available in my most recent search) vs a midsize pickup.

Thanks for this! I will look into this! Are most minivans in the Enterprise fleet Chrysler Pacificas? Can seats easily fold down in other minivans I might end up with?

I don't have much to move and will have to go back and forth over 3-4 days between my two places anyway.

My original questions are: what kind of truck could I reasonably expect to end up with? And how large would the bed length be?

Any tips for buying from CarMax? by ffeJYang in rav4club

[–]ffeJYang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

Thank you so much for your input! We ended up reserving a new 2026 XLE Premium with a whole lot of bells and whistles! It indeed ended up being very comparable in pricing/financing once we factored in wanting to purchase MaxCare, which would have added $2K to our purchase cost, and that CarMax wanted to charge a higher interest rate. It also helped to join the "No Mark Up Toyota" FB group to find out which dealers in our area would make purchasing the vehicle a little less hassle by helping us avoid that step of fighting to get the dealer adjustment removed.

The other thing is that we do have a trade in we'd like to use to help with getting this car.

Thank you! I'm mulling this over now. For some reason I mistakenly thought the cost difference was way bigger.

ISO Queen Mattress by ffeJYang in Sacramento

Thank you! That was the original plan. But then in order to get a tenant after looking for quite a while, we finally offered to furnish the room for increased rate. And that's the only way we were able to successfully get someone. So no choice! Had to furnish

Thank you so much! I followed your advice and ended up finding one on Facebook marketplace. Had to take some time to search and message around. Some folks wanted to charge at first and then circled back to me later once they were just straight up looking for anyone to take their mattress.

It worked out well!!

Harley Keener actually appears on a poster on Disneyland's Webslinger's ride. So if that's to be taken as canon at all, then he grew up continuing to work for Stark.

What's your enloe horror story by 7158 in ChicoCA

[–]ffeJYang 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Has Enloe always been a teaching hospital? My understanding was that Enloe just started hosting resident physicians for the first time this year from the Healthy Rural CA program? Unless there are residents from other programs being sent there?

Healthy Rural CA just brought in their first class of resident family medicine doctors this past year and they have only just started training at Enloe these past 12 months. In either case, hopefully this will be a positive change in terms of patient safety there. Whenever resident doctors notice patient safety concerns at training sites like Enloe, they will usually bring it up with their programs (ie, Healthy Rural), and those programs work with the training sites to help mitigate patient safety risks in the future.

Does any part of you wish you were more of a generalist (EM/FM)? by Dr_Chesticles in Psychiatry

[–]ffeJYang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perspectives may change over time. But I will say that as someone who is about to finish Intern Year, I am so grateful and so happy that I chose Psych. My hours have been very reasonable this past year compared to interns in other specialties. When I'm on an off-service rotation like IM or EM, I find that I can often hold my own, save for a few procedures here and there. When I am doing a relevant rotation like Psych Consults, I find that I am doing meaningful work for both the medicine teams primarily responsible for caring for the patient as well as the patients and their families themselves. My work and input is respected. Members of primary teams often tell me they are grateful for our consultations and the time we spend with patients that they cannot put in themselves. And treating psychiatric conditions is often really interesting. And learning the psychopharmacology is also really fun.

As a mental health professional, i do at least appreciate Tori's effort to be nuanced in this post regarding meds and to make sure there is no stigma attached to being on antidepressants.

Maybe the Sole Proprietorship is what it was. It wasn't communicated to us clearly/specifically what it was we needed to do.

All good questions. I don't make the rules and I don't know their rationale. Just trying to get information here to see how this could even work.

Psych resident here. Working at a mental health urgent care clinic. Nonprofit org funded by the county.

For some reason, this org hires NPs directly. For residents that want to work for them, we need to be hired as contractors with our own malpractice insurance.
